well, for example. If you fought and beat the very best in your weight classes.

This is a different world than 50 years ago.

Dude. Seriously. Are you just throwing out some crazy new criteria now?

No it would not make PBF the GOAT. You could at least begin to start talking seriously about PBF being in the higher echelons of boxers, and there would be less excuse for PBFs critics to criticise him.
But a lot of it will depend on how he deals with Hatton as well, and its too early to say. People go on about how rubbish Hatton is so how can PBF be the GOAT if he beats only Hatton. I say that a bit sarcasticly.

Hell no. He needs to beat Hatton by KO in the 1st round, then beat the winner of Cotto/Mosley (if it happens), then beat Winky or Bhop, then beat one of the Klitcos...by KO. Then he would be all time top 50.

                  ..................

Im a big mayweather fan but in the context of greatest of all time i wouldnt rank him as such....he might make my top 20 and would defintely make my top 30.... and majestic the reason you dont have to fight outside of america is because the best that cultures have to offer come to america to fight.... most all great fighters in the history of boxing have fought in america exclusively... america is not the world and shouldnt be confused as such when talking about the world...but when u talk boxing america is the world and the best fighters fight here.....

depends on how he beats him, but he still needs 5 or so more fights.

If he beats him in a decision which would never be granted to a fighter with his style in the Ali era, then it gives him no legitimacy when comparing himself to fighters from the tough eras of boxing.
