In my opinion a hall of fame should be a celebration of the sport, not a slavish addiction to statistical analysis of careers.

his heart and will are anything but average.

hes more of a fighter than most boxers today could ever hope to be. one little tidbit of info: only two fighters in history have ever fought both oscar de la hoya and floyd mayweather. they are genaro hernandez and arturo gatti. gatti fought the two best fighters of this generation. hes got heart and balls, at least give him that much.

a) I can name you a pretty long list of scrubs who won titles.

b) Gatti doesn't have a "huge HBO contract". But if he did, that is unrelated to his ability as a fighter... isn't it? In fact, despite being blown out in three of his last four fights, there is probably still a large group of shiny-tracksuit-wearing, Camaro-driving types who would pack the tables at the Borgata after leaving Boardwalk Hall.

Come out of the closet. Admit your boy is, and always was, a scrub.

he shouldnt be in the HOF based on their standards and his record and certain performances. but dont call the man a scrub dude, thats not right. the man was ALL heart and when he was in the ring u knew it was gonna be a good fight, so dont dis him by callin him a scrub. he wont be in the HOF, but he will be remembered.

no they dont. Honestly if your a professional fighter and you win a title, you have some sort of skill. Do you box? cause if you do you should envy anyone who's able to win a title or are you some sort of internet warrior who thinks that one loss makes you trash
