I agree that the Calzaghe who fought Lacy wouldn't allow Nigel to set himself properly

don't think Joe could stand up to the ferocity of Benns punches and although Benn’s chin mightn’t be the best Joe the slapper would struggle to hurt Benn, McClellen though he could knock Benn out look what happened to him and as a result of that I think Roy Jones ducked him

Remember, Benn lost his speed at 168

I wouldnt bet my mortgage on any of the mentioned British fighters to defeat him. I wouldnt bet my mortgage on any fights against the mentioned American fighters because to me they are simply too close to call. Everyone in their primes Roy Jones would be top, I'd have Calzaghe alongside Hopkins and then the British fighters afterwards. Anyone who thinks that they can somehow separate the fighters better than that are a little too full of their own opinion because, quite simply, they never fought each other.

well exactly then! Benn wasnt the same boxer after he fought Mclellan, that fight broke him, mclellan hurt Benn its just that Benn hurt him a hell of a lot more. Benn lost interest after that fight, his heart wasnt in it anymore. you telling me that putting a fellow boxer in a coma and paralysing him does'nt have an affect, they're not robots. Benn's now become a born again christian and pissed of to live in spain. that fight ****ed him up.

I'd have it Nunn, then Toney, then Jones, then Eubank, then Calzaghe, then Hopkins, then Benn, then others.

Of course it has an effect. Ezzard Charles was never the same after he killed a man in the ring. He went from being a destroyer to someone content to box his way to a decision victory. He simply couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger on an opponent after that.

no, they're not. benn as a middlweight had much faster hands, and he throws hard combinations, not one punch at a time like lacy. benn is nothing like lacy, and the nige hits much harder because his technique is better than lacy's. benn lost alot of speed bulking up to 168, he's a natural 160
