    anybody watch calzaghe

do people still watch calzaghes fights i give up on him ages ago its like watching paint dry, nigel benn wouldnt have given jc the time of day or eubank in top gear, calzaghe would have got knocked the fcuk out every day of the week, would have been fun to see calzaghe out cold thou whos he fighting next henry cooper or barry mcguigan or another bloke from schmucksville

Benn has actually been quoted by crediting JC. i think he also mentioned that jc would have been good in their era too.

Benn had ko power, but didnt have the best legs. so perhaps jc could outwork him.

as for getting dropped by mitchell. yeah any boxer can be dropped by someone if they connect in the right place. it's a matter of defence to stay away from the ko punches.

Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank have said Joe Calzaghe would have fitted in well and would still probably be undefeated if he was in the same era ! Sugar Ray Leonard rates him very highly and Barry McGuigan said he is the best Boxer Britain has produced !

well sugar rays had too many knocks to the head then and as for Benn he would say that, he was a decent bloke he let his fists do the talking, he were'nt one to shout his mouth off too often. im not saying calzaghe would'nt have fitted in but im 100% certain he would'nt be undefeated.

Eubank says he knows he'd have stopped Calzaghe

I dont think he would have. Calzaghe was a bit ****** and reckless when he fought Eubank, and he was hurt right at the end. Eubank was over the hill but still fought a great fight, Calzaghe was fairly green, and has improved so much.

Calzaghe has all the qualities to have done very well against Benn and the rest.
I think a Calzaghe-Watson fight would have been a great match up.

Apart from his win over Benn, and his miraculous KO of Watson, Eubanks competition wasnt great before being beaten by Collins.

Agree, I like JC but do feel hes had a easy ride, plenty of good fights out there and hes chasing an old man?

benn was gonna fight nunn as opposed to mcclean. but he questioned why don king took off 100k from his purse. then don king said heres ur 100k now fight mcclean.

Who do you think Calzaghe should fight?

Maybe he should do what Bernard did and fight some blown up welterweights.
