he would get taken down and tapped in the first round just like Mercer...Put him in there with a D level MMA opponent and the same thing will happen...

I'm a huge boxing fan. Why else would I be here?
The real life boxers you speak of are the ones disrespecting MMA...

It's a totally different sport. It would take years of training to break boxers of their stance habit...The boxing stance is a wrestlers dream for a takedown...

Well Slice was no wrestler so i'm saying if Wlad had been put in there against Slice instead of a washed up boxer, under the same rules as he fought Mercer , both of them set them away training in MMA at the same time, the fight would end with Slice getting KTFO.

Slice wouldn't try to stand for a second with him. He would take him down and sub him. If he stood with him he would get KTFO

If theyd both trained in MMA for the same time then Wlad would have an answer for taking him down, if they fought under the same rules as Mercer and Slice did then Wlad wins end of story im not debating this anymore. My final word is washed up boxers go in MMA so dont even go there saying its a true test of how good they are because its not.

Kimbo is way stronger than Vlad. He was strong enough to play D-Line for the Tampa Bay Buccaners for christ sakes. 3 months won't get you anywhere near the proper Takedown defense. He will just get overpowered and taken down

                    Period...

If he trained MMA for 3 months like Kimbo too, I imagine the gentleman said.
It is much easier to learn how to take down somebody than it is to learn how to box. Agree?
It's also easier to learn how to do a submission hold, armbar, headlock etc.
It's absolutely no problem whatsoever for anybody to learn how to kick or knee.
Point is that you could train a boxer pretty fast to learn how to do some basic groundfighting.

It takes a long, long time to learn how to do some basic boxing.

I've trained Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Karate, Aikido, Ninjutsu and Thaiboxing along with some shoot-wrestling.
All I learned from that was how incredibly easy it was to become good at it.
The level of competition was so staggeringly bad that I steered away.
Boxing was, by far, the hardest thing I've ever tried, and that's why I ended up with it.

I'm not dissing mma or anything, just giving my cents.
For the record, I think Thaiboxing is the "best" sport out there. A good Thaifighter would break your leg. But it is just that, a sport.
If I were to pick any martial art I wouldn't want to face, I'd say Ninjutsu.
Every thing you do in Ninjutsu is designed to maim or kill the target.
There is no headlock for tapout. There is breaking a knee to get the head down, so you can break the neck.

You train on how to fight dirty, kicking in the nutts, on the kneecap, striking in the throat, spine etc. That is absolutely the worst kind of opponent you can face.
So all those mma fans who claim it's the best way of fighting, or the best fighters are in mma, doesn't know much outside the sport-side of martial arts.

Yeah, sure any good mma fighter would beat any good boxer in the UFC.
Sure they would beat any Thaiboxer, Kung Fu dude or any devoted sport.
But any devoted sport would also beat an mma fighter in their respective sport.
So this vs that is silly.

I have much respect for the nutters who fight in mma, but I don't have the respect for those who says it's the ultimate fighting form.
Train Kendo and buy a sword. You'll beat any of them.

And please lay off this boxing vs mma ****. It's getting old.

Leave the chicken**** fighting to the crazy people in mma, and sit back and enjoy some real smooth athletes in boxing instead.
