They were pulling in ratings that stayed steady above 13.5 and reached 18.6 with Shockwave 2003. When they lost that TV deal they had no other real source of income because Japanese aren't big on PPV. So they ran outta money and the UFC bought them out. If they didn't lose that TV deal they would still be around, it has nothing to do with what they paid their fighters.
Yeah, this is true. Where did I say Pride was bought out for a different reason?

When I say average boxer I'm talking about the guys fighting on the undercards of the Boxing PPV's, and the guys fighting on ESPN tuesday, wendsday and friday night fights. Compared to the undercard of the UFC.

It's a pretty big difference. The Top boxers are being paid way more than than the top UFC guys like I said. But the average guys on the undercard are not

This is why the UFC is still around and getting bigger while Pride has been bought out, and other organizations aren't as successful as the UFC...

The gist of what I was saying was the UFC's business model is a very successful, legit one. The business model as a whole. Pride, while I loved the fighters in it and loved the whole presentation of it, was run by a lot of corrupt and shady businessmen. It was doomed to fall eventually. Aside from the dealings with the Yakuza which you already pointed out, there are some fights that have been proven to be "works". Also, Rampage reported that he was offered money to throw his fight against Sakuraba, but he refused.

I remember turning on ESPN and everyone saying their gonna buy the next UFC and how much they liked "ALL THE FIGHTS BEFORE THE MAIN EVENT"

                Boxing should take notes.
Why not stack a PPV card and put better fights on?

The DLH x PBF undercard was Joe Nobody vs Joe Who?
why not put the Cotto vs Judah fight on the undercard? and another big fight?

Paying $50 for one lame fight just doesnt do it anymore...

I'm just speaking the truth bro. I know it's hard to hear but it's the truth. Corrupt promoters killed boxing and it's just getting worse. I have been a fan since the early 90s but its not the same anymore...

Rampages claim was refuted by Pride's lawyers and Mauro Renallo, one of the commentators. He said that Pride will give fighters a bonus to win and a smaller bonus to lose by Ko or sub. Prides lawyers brought the contract that said Rampage had a win bonus of 5k if he beat Sakuraba.

First, you weren't talking about the average no-name boxer vs. average no-name UFC fighter at the start of this. You were mentioning Tito and Chuck.

Second, regardless, the no name boxer still gets roughly the same, if not more than the no name UFC'er. A rather popular well-known fighter like Keith Jardine only making 7k for his last fight, Chris Leben making 10k, lesser known guys making 3-5k...

The no-name boxer is still cracking a bit over 10k per fight.
