you guys overrate mosley man, haha. floyd would win a comfortable and boring decision over the 35 year old mosley. maybe 5 years ago i'd give mosley a shot but comon. if vernon forrest can box mosleys face off imagine what PBF would do. the fight isnt at 135 and its not 1998. mosley has ZERO CHANCE to beat floyd and i would put every ****ing penny i had on that
NO BOXER CAN BEAT FLOYD. the only fighter who can beat floyd is a big guy who applies constant pressure and can break him down with power punches/body work, ala cotto or margarito. guys like sugar shane will just get outboxed in a boring sparring session
that said it doesnt matter, because floyd won't fight again unless he makes 20 mil or so. hes a businessman and he doesnt care that you know it
As much as you people love to dog Floyd for being brash, he isn't lying. He's been honest about everything he's said. People need to remember that Mosley asked for $10 million to fight Floyd way back in the late '90's. Now he doesn't have that type of pull and Floyd is gonna **** him over the same way Shane tried doing to him.
if this is so... mayweather payback is justified that is what u are supposed to do
Even at 35 Mosley's speed is intact and certainly better than that exhibited by DLH against PBF. Mosley would in my estimation, because of his speed, press the action in ways that would eliminate PBF's ability to pick his spots at will. The only fear I would have for Mosley is that his propensity to press the action exposed a problem with his defense that allowed the slower Wright and Vernon Forrest to hit him much to often. And as anyone who follows boxing knows, PBF (whether you love him or hate him) is the best in the business at exposing flaws in his oppenents game and exploiting them.
It doesn't always = the most exciting fight, but it is effective and at times mind boggling. He still needs to fight more names for me to give him all-time status.
if its mayweather fighting other than oscar i dont think PPV buys would even reach 500k
what active fighter right now is doing close to 500,000 buys floyd in his ppv debut did 375,000 with gatti, 440,000 with zab (I am counting satellite sunscribers), and 325,000 with baldomir, 2.15 million with hoya. no fighter besides hoya would pull those ppv numbers fighting the fighters floyd has.
A shane fight if promoted properly would do over 1.5 million buys, GBP and mosley know this as well as floyd. the fight will get done and we will have another 24/7 and press tour to generate huge numbers for the fight.

LOL! that is in comparison to oscar who fought mayorga and almost had 1m buys. manny pacquiao if given the media exposure that mayweather gets can get that number.
Listen- Shane Mosley is a nicer guy than Floyd. I'll say that. He's seen as more attractive by the ladies, he's more approachable in interviews and rarely talks **** about his opponent. Guess what, though? Mayweather is considered to be the best in the sport right now. That means you have to be willing to cede to his demands. Mosley is a living legend in his own right- all the weight classes and the knock outs- that gives you respect. He is - as most have said- at the end of his career, though. If he wants to fight the pound for pound best he's going to have to take a pay cut. That's no joke. He'll make millions more than he did for Vargas....so shut up and sign the contract. Is it unfair that Floyd with make the lion's share? Maybe, maybe not. Point is...a young, undefeated, pound for pound fighter truly is in the position to set the terms. Mosley needs to realize that...in boxing he's fast becoming yesterday's news.
If this fight isn't made I blame Mosley. I truly think Mayweather would take the fight if he was given a disparagingly large share of the profit- and Mosley would even then make more than he has in the last few years. Suck it up and put on the fight we want to see. It'll make Mosley more than a fight with Cotto, too. Someone has to give and if you expect it to be the undefeated, pound for pound champion- in his prime and coming off one of the biggest victories of his career... you're being ridiculous. If Shane doesn't like what Floyd is saying he needs to suck it up, take the lesser share of money, and shut Floyd's mouth in the ring. No other way to look at it.
