Difference between De La Hoya and Mayweather is that ODLH will bring much more money than Mayweather, so DLH can price himself high.
Mayweather can't, he is not money machine, his last few fights were bad. Without Oscar pressing, there would be no fight. Fans know that, experts know that.

Mayweather is best today, but he is overpriceing himself. He won't make as much money as De La Hoya has with PPV's, and won't get so much money as he would like for this fight. Mosley won't fight for peanuts, so it's hard to get them both on the same line.

If Mosley accpets small amount of money, then fight will happen. If not, Floyd won't fight IMO.

It's unfortunate, but true. Floyd is in a commanding position as of now, and that is undeniable. So many people talk about how he's this and that, but the fact of the matter is as of now, he's is the undisputed p4p champion and he is the one who sets the bar. Until someone beats him, if that happens, this is how it will be.

I honestly do not think it's about money, more so than control. Floyd is in a top drawing position right now and has room to flex his muscles some, and I think just as did Oscar, he is doing so and enjoying it.

Now, I guess I just wonder why so many feel Floyd is all bad, when in essence, DLH did the EXACT SAME THING. He set the standards and negotiations and Floyd accepted. He chose the gloves, ring size, location etc. Why is it Floyd's wrong and running? NO. Those who claim to want to fight so bad would lay down their personal view to fight him, as he did with DLH. He felt he was the best coming in, but accomodated DLH. That is how it goes when you are on top.
