if mosely fights on Floyds terms, the fight happens, period.

mosely wants more money, thats the problem.

I wont deny it makes me cringe b/c i want to see Mayweather fight both Cotto and Mosely, the thing is: If they want it, they have to take the short side of the money b/c there's no bigger victory for anyones legacy right now than beating Mayweather.

Floyd had to accept the gloves, pay, ring size, and everything else DLH asked for. now that floyd commands the 2nd largest pay in the business, he wants his chance to command the terms. I don't think its right, but i also dont think Floyd is looking for a way out or all about the money. He's just not backing down at the bargaining table. He wants fighters to know that if they want to fight him, they have to now want it for their legacy not money because he's the best in the world. If mosely wanted the fight bad enough, he's take 4 million, 3 times what he made his last fight. Floyd would walk with 8 million likely...he cant command DLH money, but he wants a sizeable sum of the pot to come out of retirement.

You pretty much summed it up. I don't even think Floyd would take 8 million for the fight. I'm thinking atleast 10 million and a couple million for Mosley. He got 8 million for Baldomir. If Mosely wants to fight Mayweather he needs to take the terms and prove it. I'm not a big fan of Mayweather but through his arrogance and ****** quotes he does have a point.

I like Floyd, but I wish sometimes he would get off this money thing. He already has enough anyways and if he were to fight Mosely it's not like he's going to get paid minimum wage. Plus with all the money flowing in from his other business endeavors I think he is pretty set. I know he feel like he is already the best ever right now, but if he were to fight and beat the likes of Mosely, Cotto, and Hatton. People would have a hard time saying he didn't fight anybody good. I hope Floyd sucumbs to the fan pressure and fights at least one of these guys.

this fight will happen..you can sort of feel it...mayweather slowly backs off his retirement to say if the money is right, anything can happen. I say this fight gets made maybe in like 3 months or so, to take place sometime in the beginning of 2008.

It seems that there are many fans out there who hop on whichever bandwagon comes down the road in regards to who is going to dethrone the king of boxing right now. The reality may be that as of right now Floyd's the man. Period!! His critics often seem like real hypocrites after his wins instead of tipping their hats to the better man. It's not that long ago when everyone was saying how Gatti had a chance...Thumped.Then it was in Lennox Lewis's words Judah, "a punchers chance",Thumped... note... at least Lennox did give Floyd his just due after the fight. Then there was Baldomir, "Floyd has never faced a fighter with this much of a size advantage...a true welterweight...Shutout...Damn what does he have to do..Not many people were as critical of Sugar Ray Leonard as they are of Floyd, And in theory their styles are similar...Anyway let's appreciate this sport like any other one and try not to bash the best...

I have to disagree kid, NO way in hell Cotto was EVER intimidated by a light tapping Mayweather. Gatti is a human heavy bag. Cotto made NO connection between him and Gatti.

Cotto is aware of his own worth and refuses to sweat a **** talkin ****** rat "legacy" wannabe. Mayweather is OVERRATED. He refused to fight the cream of the crop fighters. Only old timers and Crack babies like Judah.

As much as you people love to dog Floyd for being brash, he isn't lying. He's been honest about everything he's said. People need to remember that Mosley asked for $10 million to fight Floyd way back in the late '90's. Now he doesn't have that type of pull and Floyd is gonna **** him over the same way Shane tried doing to him.
