Floyd tried to get Shane in the ring.

    Given that ...
    1) Floyd offered Shane a fight back when PBF was at 130 and Shane was at 135, and

    2) Floyd offered Shane a fight last summer (July '06)

Your comment doesn't seem to make sense.

Jin Mosley's wife is the one that has refused both times.

floyd should stay retired, let's not pull him back in if he'll only spew arrogance ****. let him enjoy in his hallucination that he's an all time great and let's not give him a chance to be the GOAT.

I wont deny it makes me cringe b/c i want to see Mayweather fight both Cotto and Mosely, the thing is: If they want it, they have to take the short side of the money b/c there's no bigger victory for anyones legacy right now than beating Mayweather.

Floyd had to accept the gloves, pay, ring size, and everything else DLH asked for. now that floyd commands the 2nd largest pay in the business, he wants his chance to command the terms. I don't think its right, but i also dont think Floyd is looking for a way out or all about the money. He's just not backing down at the bargaining table. He wants fighters to know that if they want to fight him, they have to now want it for their legacy not money because he's the best in the world. If mosely wanted the fight bad enough, he's take 4 million, 3 times what he made his last fight. Floyd would walk with 8 million likely...he cant command DLH money, but he wants a sizeable sum of the pot to come out of retirement.
I personally think this is all hype to build up a fight that is probably already signed and just not public. if not none of us know the terms that either fighter are asking for. For that matter all of these statements that Mayweather is throwing around about mosley's career earnings is a giant load of crap! He dont know **** and we know even less, besides that who cares. I truly hope Mayweather prices himself outta this fight and any other future fights. If he plans on continuing to fight as he has in the past do you really want to pay $50 to watch it just because he may, may start fighting with some conviction and heart? I dont even think his fans wanna buy his fights let alone anyone else.

hatton-3 time turner downer of a fight with mayweather jr. one of those times, he priced himself out. what a champion

mosley-2 division champ of turning down a fight with pbf. one at 135, and another at 147, only to wait until mayweather jr announces his retirement to call him out. hell of a champ there. oh, by the way shano, how's that tooth?

cotto-watches the floyd/gatti fight with hatton, doesn't call mayweather out afterwards. he knew what he had coming to him and still does. and his promoter, bob aruhhhhh... aruhhh....arum wanted to protect his record, and didn't want cotto to have any part of mayweather. another truly great ducking champion.

these are great champions with an immense amount of ducking skill.

talk about floyd being scared, these guys never wanted any part of mayweather, no matter what they get you to believe folks. they cannot beat floyd mayweather, and they know it.
of course, they will refuse to acknowledge all of these facts. but that's what they are: facts.

what's likeable about guys that run from Mayweather and call him out when he's out of reach? I have more respect for Mayweather saying "Where were you then?" and not giving them the fight than them for not accepting and wanting it now that Mayweather is top dog in the sport.

Floyd should quit talking and starting fighting or just **** off and leave Boxing alone. But Floyd would find that extremely hard due to his egotistic personality, which is born from his own insecurities. I feel sorry for him he'll never be happy until everyone is either worshiping him or miserable. Maybe he just wasn't shown enough attention as a child and we're all paying the price for it now. Thanks Snr.

If Shane really thought he would win, then why don't he do whatever it takes to get Floyd in the ring? Surely he realizes his future fights would be worth whatever pay cut he gives up to make the fight. Shane don't want it bad enough. Once when I needed a job I took a much lower wage to get in the door. Once I proved my worth I got what I wanted in the first place. If PBF is not a box office draw, then what is Shane worth? Floyd got all the exposure he needed when he fought Oscar. He can call the shots plus he's still undefeated by the record books.

                      This would be a good fight . . .

This is the fight I want to see, even if Mosley is near to the end of his career. In my mind it has the most potential of being a good fight. Every other matchup that is out there for PBF isn't as interesting to me, and while I would pay for any fight PBF decided to take if he were to ever fight again, this is the one that seems like the best match-up.

Mosley's combination of power and speed, and his success in fights where he can be the aggressor seem to suggest that he could win the fight and if nothing else give PBF a better run than anyone I see on the horizon.

But, PBF's monetary demands seem to be much to rigid for a fighter like Mosley to sign. PBF should realize that Mosley has enough of a following to generate a pretty hefty PPV event.
