    And De La Hoya who's lost 4 of his last 5 fights and that fight could have been scored a draw.
    Baldomir and Judah were the 2 linear champs at that weight though, there isnt much arguing fighting the 2 undisputed champs of that division, especially since the judah fight was already in line before the baldomir fight.

      And what a lineage it was. Corey Spinks, Zab Judah, Carlos Baldomir. Who had the title before Spinks?

        Are we talking about the same Hatton that has turned down THREE offers from PBF? The guy who had a tough scrap with Luis WorldBeater Collazo and then ran back down to 140?

        That guy?

        Hatton has done nothing to merit discussion of being mentioned as a tough challenge for FMJ. Bythe time PBF runs through three more fights, it will be about two years. By that time, Williams and/or Berto would have been more seasoned. I give each of them a better shot than Hatton.

          In case you are confused about that belt, it is the LINEAR and LEGITIMATE title:

          DeLaHotya => Shane => Forrest => Mayorga => Spinks => Judah => Baldomir => Mayweather.

            I do respect the linear title. Things just kinda got marred up there after Forrest. Not taking anything away from Mayorga's 2 victories over him.

              I can understand that you are unimpressed with some of the 'names' that acquired the belt, but it is a belt that changed hands the legitimate way: in the ring. There was no fight for the vacant / interim / eliminator / whatever.

              It is the true belt.

                So why would you be more impressed if Mayweather beat a guy who was lineal champion 5-6 years ago, but hate on the wins over the last 2 lineal champions?

                  Mosely is a quality opponent, I'd rather see Cotto but anyway. I am going to be so bold to say that he is better fighter than Baldomir and Judah.

                    I am a huge fan of Mosely and would love to see this fight. However, I think Mayweather takes this one by UD.

                      If you considered DLH too old at 33, what would you say about Mayweather fighting a 35-36 year old Mosley?
