Because of the handspeed and power. I don't think Mosley could hurt Floyd. I think Floyd would win but it would be a close fight if Mosley is as good as they say he still is.

floyd beats shane easily. shane throws wild pucnhes in bounches a lot. he would get countered a lot by floyd. i never saw shane beating floyd ever. i don't see it now or in the future. he is fast and string but floyd is much smarter than shane is. and hugh grant, the fight with oscar was not close at all. floyd won decisively, so get over it. and, for those who are taking shots at sin because he's defending floyd and his legacy and he appreciates floyd, you people shoud be ashamed of yourselves. just because he'd rather not *****, moan, and whine about floyd's attitude, and focus on his actual boxing, dosn't make him obsessessed wiht floyd at all. sin, i've always commended you on your great posts and strong stand about floyd. these punks on here just hate the fact that floyd is as successful as he is. they envy him to the fullest extent it seems a lot of times. their words mean nothing because they try to gang up on you, over a pretty cutthroat thread. shane would be taken apart by floyd, because floyd doesn't close his eyes a lot when he swings. floyd has much quicker upperbody movemoent, floyd obviously has better defense, and shane does leave himself open a lot. shane gets aggressive but floyd would outbox the **** out of him, and maybe even knocks him down a few times. shane is a great match for floyd's legacy, but i see floyd dominating mosley. shane had his chance over 2 times to fight floyd, but opted not to. so, all of this shane would do this and that bs needs to stop, because it's obvious shane doesn't really believe he can't beat mayweather, especially today. floyd would bully shane. floyd is more polished than shane, has quicker reflexes, better footwork, better mobility, better accuracy by far. he throws smart punches, and he chosses his punches wisely and effecitvely. shane, while fast and powerful, has good footwork, but stops a lot with his feet. he stands there and gets whacked many times. floyd is a chess player. he'll let you look like you're putting on a good dhow with him, but in reality, you're playing right into his hands. shane is a prime example of an opponent like this.

        Mosley UD.
Mosley hits harder than Mayweather. Certainly. But that doesn't matter when you can't consistently land shots on Floyd. And if Shane DOES land a few, it isn't doing damage to PBF. Just as Oscar didn't dent Floyd's chin, nor did Shane stop Collazo.

Shane has no real defense to speak of. His defense is that great chin of his. Floyd would exploit that and land on Shane all night.

"Just as fast"? Heck no. Shane sparred with Oscar for weeks. Oscar felt confident that he would match Floyd's speed. Why? Because he was matching SHANE's speed. After the fight, what was the first thing Oscar said? "God, he's fast".

That was already evident by the fact that Oscar landed 3-4 power punches per round.

        Mayweather by fairly easy UD.

Theres lots of talk about PBF being able to beat Shane because Shanes heads too big and hes not elusive enough etc etc. But saying PBF could prob beat SHane is no good to anyone. He needs to rematch DLH and then box Shane and then Hatton. If he dont want a rematch with DLH, come out of retirement and go straight for shane.

I'll go with Mosley via screwjob, Mayweather would have to win the fight clearly otherwise the judges will score it for mosley.

with all do respect to Mosely but he is getting old and even if Mayweather fought him people would say Mosely is outta of his prime and bring excuse

another thing the digits on the contract my not seem right for Mayweather to fight him. well boxing is a sport but also boxer need there benefit Mayweather got 20mil at least from Oscar bout and the is twice what Arum was telling Mayweather ducking for Margarito which he got the same thing he got the same number which Arum said fighting Baldomir who has the WBC which Mayweather think it is The Title to win just look at the Oscar fight what he came with all these belts.

another thing about Mosely I beat that even if Mayweather wins Shane you will bring Margarito, Zab or Cotto. man boxing is a bloody sport if you have enough money and already made some reputation get the hell out of it retire safe than sorry.

one last thing to comment usually it only takes couple of wins to become in Hall of Fame and that is a fact. Mosely legacy came mostly when he won Oscar twice and Winky legacy came when he won Mosely x2 as well as for Veron Forest and Mayorga who won Veron Forest x2.

                  so that how is goes

because Mayweather hasn't beaten the best opposition available at welterweight.

                      Baldomir
Judah (the guy is -400 againt Cotto)

And De La Hoya who's lost 4 of his last 5 fights and that fight could have been scored a draw.
