The best fighters were at 147 were they so why did PBF only manage to beat Baldy at 147? Why didnt he hang around for the good 147 fighter? Who was the good fighter at 147 at the time anyway? Im assuming it wasnt Baldy?

And he didnt fight anyone good at 147. He would have been better of fighting Hatton at the end of 2006. But becauase of different weights Hatton has done his own thing.

I believe you're letting this argument cloud your judgement. Floyd went to 147 to fight Zab Judah, who at the time was the undisputed champ. He fought Mitchell for get a feel for a slick southpaw. While he did that, Judah lost. In his next two fights, Floyd fought the man at 147 (Baldy) and the guy who had been the man at 147 (Judah). Saying he fought nobody at 147 is ridiculous. Beating the last 2 undisputed champs at a weight class isn't a bad thing.

Beat me to it. This is a guy who will put down most of Mayweather's fight, but hype up Hatton's wins over Urango and Maussa...

Yep i was just wondering who was so special at 147 that was better than Hatton. Those Judah guys arent as highly rated. And i wanted to see Hatton v Mayweather. Im not putting PBF down i just have been denied a match i wanted to see for now.

I definitely agree. Mayweather is Hatten's worst nightmare stylistically. Hatten's only chance is if Mayweather decides that he can get down and dirty with Hatten. If that happens, Hatten has a real shot.

Roberto Duran is one of the top 20 (top 10?) fighters of all time. One of the top 5 LW's of all time. Lock.

Any comparison of Mayweather-Hatton to SRL-Duran is fundamentally flawed because Roberto Duran can do so many things in a boxing ring. He was a complete fighter.

                  Hatton is not that.

And it is not an insult to Ricky to say that he is not in the same class as Roberto Duran.

Kermit Cintron would bomb Rickety with 1-2,s and KO him. Too much power.
