Calzaghe-Manfredo Stoppage Comments

yea i was lookin forward to it for months and the ref calls it like that... a championship fight.. somethings wrong here..

did the ref smoke crack? Or did joe give him a wink saying stop the fight? And then threw a million punches which only like 5 landed, but compbox will say something like 50 punches landed for joe calzaghe!!! hahaha

Yet, those who aren't biased can see that calzaghe landed nearly next to nothing before the stoppage. Look at me, I'm calzaghe, I can throw a million punches that don't land flush because I think everyone has a poor defense like lacy!!! mwahahaha moron. A bum named manfredo punk'd calzaghe tonight. The real reason they stopped the fight is because the ref realized that the slapper didn't have the power to knockout the so called bum.

That may be the worst stoppage I have ever seen.Did you see how many punches Calzaghe missed when the ref stepped in.I felt so bad for Manfredy and honestly it made me sad.To top it all off though Manfredy didn't even seem that upset.I would have gone crazy.Hell I almost choked up watching it I can't imagine what it would have been like if it happened to me.Especially in the biggest fight of my career.

the commentators raised the issue of manfredo comming to calz home turf of being a major factor in the early stoppage, and i think that in a title fight no fighter should fear that it should be that big of an issue.

how come manfredo wasn't allowed to pull an ali? It wasn't like calzaghe was landing any good shots. Most were blocked, and I'd ignore compstats if I were you. They are false

yea exactly..

besides what sloppy ***** shots.. and he pushed himm onto the ropes. calzaghe was hella nervous you could tell. he was anxious getin all over him throwin ugly ***** slaps.. porr stoppage.. he coulda got in trouble late easily..

I really did feel sorry for him.

He began ducking and moving out of the punches when the ref stepped in. He was in a good state, you could see him thinking the situattion through. He first let Cal tee of on him, until the uppercut got through. Then he moved around on the ropes and got Joe to miss. Calzaghe wasn't even putting that much weight into the punches.
