Hatton wants Cotto

Hatton may want Cotto, but it will be Zab Judah that he will have to face. Cotto is in for a barrage of punches like he has never seen, Judah will win by U.D. then it's Hatton up next for Judah...Comment

What happened? He won every single subsequent round on every single card? Oh yeah, that's right.
Disliking a fighter is no reason to be unrealistic about their abilities. I dislike Mayweather but I'm not going to tell anyone that he can't box!Comment

What happened? Urango won round six using his own body attack, he ( Hatton) seemed to be in alot of pain, and Hatton started to clinch. Don't let blind faith in a fighter blind YOU from an obvious weakness ( or in this case an obvious pain filled 6th round for Hatton.) If you watched the fight closely, you would have noticed that his work rate went down significantly from the 6th round on.
I don't doubt Hatton fantastic heart, or his formidable boxing skills, however styles make fights. And i think fighting a Cotto, or Castillo ( two HUGE body punchers) is a bad idea for Hatton.
I did not mean for my post to sound like blind hate for a fighter, i am a very big Hatton fan. I honestly think he is gonna have some problems beating those two before mentioned guys. I think you took my post the wrong way.Comment

Urango won round 5. Hatton won round 6 and threw his hardest punches in that round. I think he realised (or Billy Graham realised) that he wasn't hurting Tank-Boy Urango and took to doing what he had to to win the rest of the fight without exposing himself to too much danger. I didn't like it much either but he still won every single round on every card thereafter. What happened? Cotto has said he will not go back to 140 because he cannot make the weight. I doubt he'll change his mind to fight Ricky.Comment

I think Hatton will fight Cotto at 147 or a 144 catchweight. It may take a while but I'm confident it will happen, barring accidents.Comment

I'm sorry, i meant round 5. Was that the round Urango landed his right hook to the body, and sent Hatton backwards? You could see Hatton flinch when he took those shots, and all i'm saying is that if he flinched against a Urango body barrage, wait for a Cotto or JLC barrage.Last edited by Winkyftw!; 03-10-2007, 04:32 PM.Comment

Cotto said he's not been in with anyone near as strong as Urango in his life (Urango beat Cotto twice in the amateurs) and that includes junior-middles in sparring.
Urango, not exactly pitter-patter.Comment
