I've seen that many times, in which dudes are in huge trouble and are trying to play it off that they just had their feet mixed up or some bull****. I can recall Roy Jones doing that against Honey Boy in '98, when he played that **** off beautifully. Even the commentators discredited it like it was a balance shot. Truth is, Jones didn't see that left hand coming and was hurt but remained poised.

Allan Green was out, I mean really. To paraphrase Vivian Harris, he was all ****ed up. But he showed balls and heart and tried to bust out some of that professional saavy ala Chris Byrd/Ike Ibeabuchi when he claimed that it wasn't a legit knockdown when he was out on his feet. It was a desperation move in my opinion, but props for pulling out the stops.

Green showed how someone can beat Edison and that's by picking their shots and following up on them (which he didn't). I thought Green did a good job for a while and I was in the minority I suppose. He fought exactly how I thought he would, and lead with the left hook landing bombs. He only landed three the whole fight and one of them floored Edison. He was far too laid back.
You have to stay busy with a strong jab to break up his momentum. Miranda is a very busy, aggressive fighter with no head movement. You need to step to your left with the jab and keep him turning so he can't get set.

well obviously they have long term stradegies.

Like if it looks like Miranda-Taylor is gonna be a good fight, they'll get both guys on TV a lot.

But thats what the people want. The COMMENTATORs dont hype a guy up unless they deserve it.

I'll give the man credit for making it to the final bell. That last minute must have seemed an eternity.

I didn't use that word or any other with moral implications.

The truth is, there is great competition with HBO and Showtime. If Miranda doesn't fight for HBO, then he fights for Showtime. Miranda has the Kassim Ouma-star quality with his character and there is alot of money to be made because he's a big punching, charismatic, middleweight who brings it every night. HBO is securing a very sound investment and monopolizing the middleweight division.

I doubt strongly he has many recollections of the final minute of that fight.

Allan Green is a very impressive, commendable fighter and Miranda seperated himself as a superior fighter last night. Give the man his respect. Diminishing such a performance and merit is the equivalent of these guys on the forums claiming that every upset is a fixed fight.
Would've gave you good karma on the post but I have to spread some around. Good post Asian.

Duddy is a guy who needs alot more work. He's being groomed as the third of the Dibella Trinity fighters who are being brought up as household PPV ethnic fighters, along with Italian Malignaggi and ***ish Dmitriy Salita. Duddy is an Irish fighter with alot of tenacity and marketability, but to be honest Andy Lee is the superior fighter.
