i want him to retire, that way i can laugh at him in 10 years when no one mentions him as even a top 50 ATG.

he's already surpassed duran in my book. A victory over hoya would place him top 5 ATG. personally I would have him right behind ray robinson.

Gotta agree wit bigtime, how could u not rate PBF as a ATG "G"? Floyd dun held his belt (& moved weight classes)while many, many other so called P4P'ers lost theirs (ie: Mosley, Hopkins, RJJ, Tarver, Barrera, etc...). See, what happens when you're truely one of the GOAT is you get catz like scottie2hottie HATIN simply cuz his best can't mess wit what PBF got goinig on right now. PS: PBF will probably retire BUT like the RJJ's, Hopkin's, Vitaly Klitchko's, Jordan,s, Jay-Z's, or even the EPMD's, if you still think u got it(& can back it up when u do come back) why not flaunt it??? Now Can u Dig Dat????

put it this way you can't comprare these current boxers with the leonards, hearns, durans, hagglers, robinsons because it's a different era, specially pbf IMO he is not even near those i mentioned, it would be funny to me comparing him eith all those greats

PBF can do things that will get him closer to being compared to them though. BUt PBF has to do it himself. He has to box people that will make people think he is ATG. Beating DLH will go some way towards acheiving that goal, even though DLH is past his best. Beating Mosely, Hatton as well and then there wouldnt be much more he could really do. But he has to get them in the bag and do it. Talking about it wont help his cause.

(I see we're getting votes that says he will contradict himself.)

What's that based on? Does he have a history of breaking his word?

Or are we supplanting Bernard Hopkins and Michael Jordan onto a totally different individual?

I'm saying he's stubborn as **** and will retire on some level for some period.

there is no way in hell that his fight with de la hoya is his last fight ever. i dont believe that for one second. theres no way hes gonna walk away from all those paydays and the spotlight of being the best p4p fighter in the world at age 30. no ****in' way.

Why is it that nobody has an intellectual argument for his "non-retirement."

Let's have some supporting facts, and dot connecting..

Why would he go back on his word - because other fighters do?

Why won't he walk away? Why?

The money, spotlight, and thrill are reasons - but that didn't stop Hagler.

                      That didn't stop BARRY SANDERS.
