cintron wasnt ibf champion at the time he fought him. cintron was a completley different fighter under totally different management and training.

Margarito is the man, and I had a feeling he'd fight them both in the end. After he beats Williams and Cotto we will see how Mayweather finds a way to avoid him.

I hope you're joking. Cintron was one of and arguably the most touted prospect in the entire sport of boxing at the time Margarito faced him.

doesnt matter what cintron's excuses are for losing... tony beat a CURRENT world champ, when he was undefeated.... mathysse hasnt proved he's as good as cintron and has yet to accomlished anything.... so I dont see how you can say mathysse=cintron...

basically they both had about the same credentials, undefeated, alot of power, both were raw. Maybe because i dont rate cintron too high, and didint even before margarito fought him, he wasnt a big deal to me. Infact, hes not a big deal to me now.

But seriously, what puts cintron so far ahead of mathysse, at the time margarito fought him and at the time williams fought mathysse. being highly touted doesnt make you any better or any worse than what the media says about you, as opposed to the reality that both fighters met when they faced a contender.

i only mean at the time cintron fought margarito, obviously cintron is the better fighter now, but are you honestly going to tell me cintron was the same fighter who fought margarito then? either way, its only my opinion, so its not worth arguing over it, i dont have nothing against you and you nothing against me, so its all good if you feel different than me.

                This is an absurd discussion.

Mattysse was fighting guys in Argentina with losing records while Cintron was beating former World champions here in the States.

Crazy talk Kid crazy! Cotto will, (and i will put my house on this) Knock seven shades of ****e out of Margarito! If Cotto wins a close fight I'll be dissapointed in him, he IS FAR superior in my eyes!

Either way this damn subject gives me a headache.

Matthysse is a good fighter no doubt, and Williams beating him does count for something. Hell....Williams and Margarito are going to fight and everyone is still arguing about their congruences.

Yawn *heads for Margarito v.s. Williams who you got thread*
