    It's virtually the same thing.

Oh and newsflash, anyone who says Margarito should have knocked Clottey out is a moron who doesn't watch boxing. Clottey has never been knocked out and his chin is cast iron.
well, nobody cares that much about julio diaz though, except some hometown fans, and some people on this board. so anything he does isnt exactly under the microscope, infact, there are too many diaz' in that division.

I guess it's that whole microscope thing.

Regardless....I've never seen a fighter receive that much slack for not knocking a guy out. It's pretty crazy. I'm also thinking a lot of the people complaining aren't really familiar with boxing. They're relatively new to it, and what they do know is watching Floyd Mayweather Jr. That's understandable.

ill be honest man, someone new to boxing and watching Floyd Jr would be a suprise, hes not a guy who just attracts new people to the sport in terms of his style, i think for most boxing purists and fans of the stick and move style, hes the guy. I mean, people get on Margarito mostly because hes being sold to us as a punching machine with 1 punch power by alot of users.

Now if you have seen margarito time and again, it was really the same old story, but for alot of people on this board, they hadnt seen him, so they were anxious to see the most "feared man in boxing" and he won a terrible desicion based on the guy breaking his hand, while being schooled for 4 straight rounds. Its just not what people who hadnt seen him expected. Even me, i actually expected him to possibly KO clottey based on the fact that i myself bought into a little of his oh-so-devastating power being billed to us by (super lightweight/ferocity/etc mexican fans).

And also due to the fact i didint know clottey had an iron chin. Its unfair that people expect monsterous power KO's from margarito, your right, but when you build yourself up, you have to deliver and he didint, thats all.

Actually......there were thousands of die hard Gatti fans that converted once Floyd whipped his ass. Their only point of reference was watching the Gatti/Ward trilogy and they figured Gatti was world class.

Take for instance BigTyme9...the poster. He keeps claiming Gatti is the biggest win of Floyd's career and that win surpasses anything Hatton has ever done in the ring alone. That's the kind of thing I'm referring to.

well, thats just a couple of instances, most people on this board arent newcomers to the sport. but in all honesty, Gatti is the biggest win in floyds career from a stardom standpoint, it was his first ppv and his biggest piece of exposure. and right now, in comparison to hatton, the Gatti win (in america mind you) still puts him over Hatton only in terms of exposure because of the one sided beating he gave him.

Quiet. And i was a bit pissed that Diaz said the samthing you said. Once they all have a world title -only one left is David Diaz and he will win the WBC- then they can have a Diaz tournament.
