Floyd was offered $8 million to fight a titleholder that nobody heard of and waited to instead fight the 147 lineal champ that few people have heard of (for $8 million). What was the problem? He got the same money and became "the man" at 147. Margarito's situation has nothing to do with Floyd so why bring it up? Oh wait, cuz you're a ***** ass hater thats why. It was from Dan Rafaels inside source. No way did Floyd make 8 million for a fight against the unknown Baldomir without having some kind of inside offer. Mosley didn't even make anything close to 8 million against Vargas in the rematch and yet Floyd made 8 million against baldy somehow???, get the **** out of here, Floyd is no star.

Beating Judah and Gatti had made Baldi more popular with the casual fans than Margarito. So if Tony fight was able to generate 8 mil, so would Baldi fight (if not more).

My opinion on Margarito has changed quite a bit since he seems to be wanting to fight his dangerous manditory. This fight will determine if he's real or hype. I can't wait.

If you know boxing its pretty obvious Williams skills are limited and the guy is living and dying on his heigth, reach. He throws a lot of punches gets hit a lot and is in general sloppy as hell. The best thing about this fight is it will end all the hype swirling around about Williams.

You could look at it that way (which is very ******) or you could say that he should've fought him a long time ago and is only fighting him now because he knows Cotto would beat his ass. People will look at it all kinds of different ways. Just be happy that Williams is finally getting the shot he earned by becoming the mandatory. and be happy that your boy is going to be conscious at the end of the fight (most likely). IMO its a win for everybody. Williams gets his shot, Margarito doesn't get his ribs broken by Cotto and Cotto gets to fight someone who is really a threat.

If you don't have any proof it doesn't mean ****. In other articles on ESPN it said that Floyd was making 8 million.
