Williams is still good enough to beat Margarito imo. Its an even fight as far as Im concerned, although Williams looked like **** against the last guy he fought. Man I am looking forward to this.

Finally! I was telling you people that sooner or later this fight's gonna happen.

Well? It's happening sooner than expected.

Thats right, Margarito isn't a little ***** like Floyd. Floyd was being afford 8 million for a high risk fight against the most feared fighter in the welterweight division, and he didn't take it. Margarito gets offered a career high payday for a fight thats high risk by another feared guy and guess what?....Margarito took it.

If it really is an easier fight, why was Margarito trying to duck Williams in the first place? They never even tried to negotiate for the fight...

That is untrue, because Margarito was also injured in the fight.
For the 4 rounds that neither fighter was injured, Clottey won ever single round hands down...

Also, Margarito is supposed to fight the best, and Cotto is better than Williams. So if Marg had fought Williams that should've been fine with everyone.
It is fine with everyone because Williams is his mandaotry...

Dropping the WBO title is not the worst thing someone can do, especially if they are dropping it to fight Cotto.
The point is he could have fought his mandatory, Williams, a long time ago and gotten the fight out of the way already. Margarito instead chose to fight Clottey and then was about to fight Cotto next. It would not have looked as bad if he hadn't ducked Williams in favor of Cotto last December...

But this is an ok move by Tony, in my opinion. Good money, winnable fight. Williams is going to get hurt.
Williams may hurt his hand on Margarito's head, just like Clottey did. That's the only realistic chance Margarito has of hurting him...

Floyd was offered $8 million to fight a titleholder that nobody heard of and waited to instead fight the 147 lineal champ that few people have heard of (for $8 million). What was the problem? He got the same money and became "the man" at 147. Margarito's situation has nothing to do with Floyd so why bring it up? Oh wait, cuz you're a ***** ass hater thats why. Floyd did the right thing by fighting Baldy, Margarito is doing the right thing by fighting Williams. End of story.
