Who ever said Marg had Clottey hurt? It's a non-issue. Clottey can take a shot and runs 10 miles a day. He was always a good fighter and with his tight D, always would put up a good show vs Margarito.

Why are we talking about Clottey? Paul Williams is not Clottey. His defense is not as good, not by any means.
Misguided post only because you seem to enjoy deflecting any and all realities pointed out about margarito and spinning them into false positives.

Id personally like to see Williams vs Cotto most! I think Tony will win against Punisher tho so we get both the Williams and the Cotto fights while both obligate thier mandatorys! This is the best way it can be done but like I say its the way it SHOULD be done so why give Tony praise?

They are not the same thing. Margarito has done it longer. That's the difference. Williams has not fought Margarito or anyone of his caliber, that's the difference. Even if they are very similar in your eyes stylistically, that does not make up for the intangibles that Tony has at this point in his career...intangibles that Williams lacks due to his short career that has not been forged in fire as much as Margarito's has...yet.

          Misguided...
because it really had little to do with what I said, and if anything, proved my point a little bit further.

Seems like Margarito is getting some respect but still "what ifs", "what about Cotto", "what about his wrist", Margarito can't win over everybody but him winning is the most important thing. And he will defeat Williams. I belive he will ko Williams.

As for the Clottey fight, if you hurt your hands by hitting the other mans skull then tough luck, you fight on. George Foreman once said, "its part of boxing, if you worry about your hands getting hurt and can't deal with the pain, get another profession." He said this about Mayweather or towards any fighter i belive it was after the Carlos Hernandez fight. Foreman said, "I had hurt hands all the time and i fougth on."

That is untrue, because Margarito was also injured in the fight.

this is what you were saying in response to someone else about the clottey fight. thats what i was talking about, i just quoted the whole post.

Yeah I wonder why there aren't fifty threads calling Julio Diaz a punk and bum because Chavez blew his knee out and was unable to continue.

                  It's virtually the same thing.

Oh and newsflash, anyone who says Margarito should have knocked Clottey out is a moron who doesn't watch boxing. Clottey has never been knocked out and his chin is cast iron.

Margarito is the bigger man, with more experience, and has a great chin and ability to hurt Cotto which makes the fight a hard one to pick.
Those are fair points but for me this is an easy fight to pick. Cotto duz every thing better than Margarito, Marg could hurt Cotto IF he caught him right, I say IF because Cotto when he is not dead set on Knocking the other guy cold has an excellent defence! And coz Tony is a big puncher, NOT coz Cotto has a bad chin, his chin is sound! Also while Marg fought a decent fighter in Santos at 154 he lost.

Yes, but you went on to challenge me in a nonsensical way because I never said marg looked excellent or any such thing. I don't comment on things unless I have full input.
