    umm
mayweather is the best the pound for pound best in boxing
and he is near hattons weight class
    if hatton never fight mayweather
there will always be questions about his legacy

i dont know if you ever competed but there is always
an obsession about the guy above you
you want to be where he is or above

The fight was offered to him twice. Hatton hasn't even denied that. The second time it was offered, you can see what Hatton's people said in my sig...
Mention was made to Hatton's team of a possible matchup. The details of the offer made by Floyd's people is mysteriously missing. Hatton isn't going to take the fight on unfair terms. Mayweather's people "reaching out" to Team Hatton is a million miles away from the ink being wet on a contract. You're a knowledgable guy, you must be aware of the messing about that goes into getting a big fight signed. I mean there's enough messing about goes into buying a house, and the money we're talking about with Mayweather and Hatton is far in excess of the average mortgage.

If Floyd beats De La Hoya, Hatton is the biggest fight for him in my opinion. Cotto may be another decent option but in terms of raw popularity Hatton - Floyd would be massive because of the wildly differing styles and personalities.

The first thing you do is to CALL to see if a fighter is interested. You don't waste your time and money on Lawyers drawing up papers for a fight that may not happen.

How do you think Floyd gets his fights? He doesn't just deliver contracts. A Call is made first.

Hatton turned him down twice. The only people to fluster on the topic is HATTON and his TEAM.

3 fight deal with HBO, but not one is made with Floyd. Go figure. ****, not one is made with Cotto.

We get Collazowho?, Urangowho? and no Castilloshot.

I would guess that negotiations go on all the time for fights that don't happen. Hatton was supposed to fight Oktay Urkal for a while. What happened? Couldn't agree on terms. Zab Judah was supposed to fight Hatton at one point. Couldn't agree on terms. Vivian Harris was another opponent in which negotiations fell down. Happens all the time in boxing, but the fact is that in Hatton's "turning down Floyd" there was no date set, no location set, nothing.

There was no "offer" that Hatton turned down, there were conversations between promoters.

Phone call first to see if further talks are necessary.

It went like this most likely:

Floyd calls Ricky...Floyd says "Lets fight"...Ricky says "10 million"...Floyd hangs up.

                lol... the ignorance is astounding.

                1. Genero Hernandez - one of the greatest Super Featherweights ever.

Floyd TKOs him in 8, and in his 19th professional fight too, no less.

                2. Diego Corrales - an undefeated 33-0, 29 KO's Diego Corrales, rather.

Floyd TKOs him in 10, knocking him down a total 5 times.

                3. Jesus Chavez - another elite fighter in his prime, who was 36-1 at the time.

Floyd makes him quit on his stool.

                4. Jose Luis Castillo - a PRIME Castillo who had just made Stevie Johnston his *****, AND Floyd's first fight at 135.

Floyd beats him with literally 1 arm.

                5. Jose Luis Castillo - the rematch.

Floyd wins a comfortable UD, and gives Castillo a boxing lesson, perhaps because had 2 arms this time.

                5. Arturo Gatti

Sure, Gatti isn't the GOAT, but still a nice name to have on your resume. Especially the way Floyd laid down one of the most brutal, one-sided 6 round beatings ever.

                6. Zab Judah - Multi-division champ, Undisputed Welterweight Champion of the world (Fluke loss to Baldomir).

That was without a doubt, the best version of Judah that Floyd fought that night. He was far and away the second best Welter Weight in the world that night, and he won only 3 rounds.

                7. Carlos Baldomir - Lineal Welterweight Champion of the world. Someone who could not be hurt, regardless of who hit him, and someone who outweighed Floyd by almost 20 pounds on fight night.

Floyd pitches a shut out. And prior to the Judah fight, people were criticizing Floyd for not fighting Judah, instead of Baldomir, since Baldy was the champ. Floyd played it safe, and laid a shlacking on both.

                8. Oscar De La Hoya - Nothing even needs to be said here.

Floyd has without a doubt one of, if not THE best resume in boxing today. The same unfortunately, can't be said about Hatton.

I think Hatton is one of the least proven fighters around. Who's he beat? And don't say Kostya.

Errrr.......Kostya. Perhaps better than anyone PBF has fought. It is a fact. Trying to sc**** the barrel with all these names PBF has fought and beat to make him God. But i believe Hatton would more than likely beat as well. Bottom line is stop comparing resumes.
PBF is p4p number 1 because of how he beat most of the people on his resume but dont mean he cant be beat.
