If I were Hatton, I would be doing everything I could to be getting the likes of PBF in career defining fights. I'd be fighting someone like Castillo and offering to move up a weight-class and mentioning PBF's name wherever possible (though I'd probably not do it with as much class as Hatton tends to). Again, it would be ****** to increase your likelihood of defeat by wanting to jump straight up two weight classes and dive into the ring ill-prepaired with the King of that division. Hatton isnt ******.

Put aside your anti-Hatton prejudice for a moment and consider. If you were a boxer at the same stage in the career as Hatton is...wouldnt you be doing the same?
Floyd did it when he fought Castillo the 2nd time, Mosley fights everyone he loses to twice, Winky and Forrest both fought him again. Real champions do that, they prove they are better in the ring especially when it is controversial.

Then you wont mind waiting for another couple of years. As all the big fights are only now starting to line themselves up.

Course he will fight them. He may or may not win, but he will fight them.
Your wrong Cotto and his camp have previously stated that they wouldn't fight Cotto at 147lbs and that they would only fight Cotto at 140lbs. In that very same interview they said they would fight PBF at 147lb.

Exactly, how many tune ups do it take, how long will it be til your ready. And they say Floyd has only 2 names on his resume, these people are ridiculous. There are only hand full of fighters with better resumes and they are all older and not as dominating as Floyd. Who around Floyd's age or time have a better resume? None!!

Good point. You can also ask the question who was around that was an A+ fighter that Floyd didn't fight. If you cant answer that question then you need to STFU about Resumes.

Oh and Jesus Chavez, Zab Judah, and Genaro hernandez are far from BUMS.

-In various interviews he's said Floyd is the best fighter in the world P4P and that would be a dream fight for him.

-After the Baldomir fight, he said Floyd looked like Russell Crowe but fought like Sheryl Crow.

-In his post fight interview after the Urango fight, Hatton said he wanted to fight in Vegas because all the greats have fought there. The first great he names? Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

-At the post fight press conference, he says Mayweather-DLH will be a boring fight and people should watch Hatton-Castillo for an exciting fight. Last time I checked, these fights aren't even competing with each other. They are a month apart. What is the point of even bringing up Mayweather-DLH? Is Hatton Mayweather's publicist?

The obsession is clear, but the reason is not. Why the hell does Hatton keep bringing up Mayweather's name? At first you would think it's to try and score a fight with him, but Hatton has clearly been ducking him for over 2 years and it was written into Hatton's contract with HBO that he would not have to face Mayweather. So it definetely can't be because Hatton wants to fight him. Anyone have any idea why Hatton is obsessed with Mayweather?
Why is sin obsessed with hatton?

He brings up PBFs name to reassure people that he wants him. PBF is no1 and Hatton wants to be No1. Hatton wants what PBFs got. I dont think Hatton is a stalker of anything like that. Or loves PBF like the girl from basic instinct after Michael Douglas or anything like that.
Just that Hatton does actually want PBF by mentioning his name once in a while. A name Hatton tries not mentioning is Witters. And we know its becoz Hatton doesnt want the sheffield lad.
So the more Hatton mentions pbfs name the better. PBF should talk about his love of Hatton a bit more as well. He used to love Hatton but now hes not feeling the love for Hatton no longer.
But after seeing Hatton against Urango, the love might be stirring in Mayweather once again.

Hugh, i think it has done just the opposite. it was a better showing though, but it even showed more weaknesses to me. Floyd now knows Hatton's only chance is to try and go WWE on him and that was already slim to none. Now nobody is impressed, his worth has diminished so much. His time has come and gone, he has had 1 too many tune-ups.

so true, now no one will want to see the fight between them because everyone knows hatton would lose. Hatton's stock has plummeted due to his boring fights

Is that why noone wants to watch the fights PBF has been in because they know that PBF will win. Gatti v PBF people knew Gatti would lose but they still wanted to see Gatti get beaten up and they were not dissapointed.
A lot of Hatton haters would love to see PBF do to Hatton what he did to Gatti. So no i think PBF should be giving Hatton a little more loving.
