While Mayweather was fighting Hernandez in his 18th pro fight (Hernandez is Mayweather's Tszyu, in my opinion), Hatton was fighting the great Pedro Alonso Teran. He would not fight Tszyu for another 20+ fights...

Impressive, until you see that Tszyu was fighting former champs in his 4th fight and winning his 1st title in his 14th.

If 33 year old DLH is old, why would anyone give Hatton credit for beating a 36 year old Tszyu? Also, DLH said coming into the fight that he had no injuries and was in the best shape of his life. DLH was inactive for a year just as Tsyzu was inactive for a year and a half. The difference? DLH chose to take that time off. Tszyu was severely injured for the year and a half that he didn't fight. Also keep in mind that Mayweather-DLH was a close fight with Mayweather fighting for the first time in his 5th division. Hatton-Tsyzu was a close fight when Hatton was in his natural division, in his backyard, and in his prime. It's pretty obvious which is the more quality win...

Age affects people differently. Tszyu was coming off destroying the (supposed) next best fighter in the division in 3 rounds and was top 3 p4p. Oscar was coming off 3 losses (Sturm included) and the Mayorga win in 4 years, and was nowhere near the p4p rankings.

Is KT greater than DLH? No. Is he the better fighter? Possibly.

Chavez is a better win than anyone Hatton has beaten to date not named Tsyzu and that may not even be one of Mayweather's top 5 wins...

Judah was a good fighter but never fought to his potential and Mitchell was never that great, yet these are the 2 biggest wins of Tszyu's career. Judah is maybe Mayweather's 5th best win...

The Judah that Tszyu fought would have been #2 on Floyd's list.

It's about who you beat more than how you beat them. I'm sure Tsyzu would trade every single one of those knockout wins over B and C level fighters for a clear decision win over an A level fighter like DLH or Mayweather at 140...

And I'm sure Floyd would trade any of his wins for a 2 round destruction of a prime Judah.

Chavez? I thought you were all about the resume? He had more than 1 dubious result at the weight and didn't dominate the division for as long so doesn't rank above Tszyu for me.

Benitez's work at LWW doesn't compare apart from the Cervantes fight.

Beating former 140 champions when you're not even 10-0 deserves more credit than what you give him. I never said he faced a great opposition, he only fought at a higher level of opposition, meaning 140 was a weak division so Tszyu was able to dominate it easily. Fighters just got tougher, back then Tszyu did seem like top, now we have Floyd Mayweather.
