I'm pretty sure he fought at 140 a number of times before getting the 135 lb. title. But this is not what was meant.

Tszyu was a solid fighter and a good champion. Nothing more, nothing less. Too discredit him too far is a joke and to suggest he was fantastic was a bigger joke.

        Notable wins:

        Ruelas- TKO
        Mitchell- TKO
        Mitchell II- TKO
        Urkal- UD
        Chavez- TKO
        Jeija- TKO
        R. Mayweather- TKO
        Judah- TKO
        Tackie- UD

Zoo's reign was long and impressive

but I pick all of the following to beat Zoo at 140 (or be in a pick'em fight with him)

          Ricky Hatton
          Floyd Mayweather Jr,
          Shane Mosley
          Oscar De La Hoya
          Wilfredo Benitez
          Roberto Duran
          Aaron Pryor
          Duilio Loi
          Nicolino Locche

and I probably forgot others (Ross, Armstrong were possibly too small)

how dare some of you arm chair critics criticize kostya. he beat everyone in front of him except 2 peoples. one- ending in a standing tko. the other, that hatton bull****! other than that, pure ass kicking machine.

funny that some people like to worship boxers that were well before their time, yet be barely able to compliment some of the great boxers we have seen in the last 10 years.

lay off the the memories and watch what is in front of you. don't try to be slanted like burt sugar.

Bottom line - this guy dominated the 140 lb division and in impressive fashion. The thing that made him so special was his style. If you made a mistake, he would tag you with the right hand and stun you with it. The next time, he would rock you, and the next time you would be flat on your ass. He was as clinical as you can get and never, ever has been outboxed.

I personally think he would beat Floyd Mayweather easily at 140.
