    What Made Kostya Tsyzu Great?

I've been hearing a few calling Tsyzu an all-time great. What exactly did he do that was so great? His best win is over an overrated Zab Judah and a Sharmba Mitchell that isn't that good to begin with. He beat up on an old Julio Cesar Chavez and Jesse James Leija. He had some solid wins, but his career wasn't enough to consider him one of the greats...

I agree. Tszyu was pretty good but people went crazy.

I think he was an excellent fighter who deserved to be mentioned as one of the P4P best at one point.....but ATG status is absolutely ridiculous. No way. That I can't see happening.

He's in the top 5 140's of all time IMO, one of the best fighters of this era.. a great fighter in my opinion, but all time great is pushing it.

I think Mosley was better at 140 than Tszyu was.

I also think Mosley moving up and seeking doom against bigger guys erased the shadow that KT was under....easily.

tszyu lacked a carear defining fight but did dominate hes division for a number of years. wat taints hes legacy will be not avenging hes lost to vince philips and maybe that he never moved up when dlh , mosley and tito where at 147 for the bigger fights
atg? p4p no but atg 140 then yes top 3 for me

Mosley moved up and sought the DLH fight, and that was one of the best wins in an already impressive career. Mosley blew people out of the water at 140 and moved right up to 147 to take on Oscar.

Tszyu hung around too long and never moved up to find that big fight. He needed Mosley more than anyone I've ever seen on earth.

The Judah fight was big at the time, but in retrospect he wasn't the caliber star Mosley was.

Just shows the lack of knowledge most of you have, you basically dont know any other fighters besides Judah and maybe Mitchell.
But Tszyu beat both of these when either were thought to be the best fighters in the devision.
He also dominated against a very good opposition.

I also think Mosley never fought at 140 so you can't make that claim.
