When I score fights I usually favor the boxer and counterpuncher, but I scored both Hopkins Taylor fights in favor of Taylor.
Hopkins literally gave the first fight away, I have never seen someone so inactive.
Taylor won the rounds becuase Hopkins did absolutly nothing. (Im talking about the first 7 or so rounds)
It was strange, becuase had Hopkins flurried two or 3 times in a few of the rounds he would have taken the fight. There was little action, and I was suprised and dissapointed in Hopkin's preformance. The fights were his to win, and he just didnt take the initiative.

I scored the first fight a draw. I think people get TOO caught up in saying that the first 7 rounds were a wash for Taylor because that was general sentiment and not objective.

In rounds 3 and 5 both fighters land about the same number of punches, only Hopkins lands better, cleaner shots. In a situation where both guys do little, the round goes to the champion. throwing and not landing doesn't mean **** either.

I scored their first bout a 6-6 draw. Hopkins won 3/5/9/10/11/12 clearly in my opinion while Taylor won the rest clearly. Still though...Taylor landed 0 significant punches while Hopkins had him stunned several times.

Oh is this like the time that Pac was spotted playing pool and drinking two nights before the fight with Lucero? Where he flew to the states to **** him up? Oh that's right just because pac was hungover doesn't mean that he wouldn't have tore his head off his shoulders with the first punch landed given he wasn't drunk.

Get over the excuses ***. A fight is a ****ing fight, end of story.

Fighters have off night, but Toney just didn't have an off night, he had alot of weight and personal problems + having an off night and having the flu.

Tayor didnt land a significant punch all night.
I gave Taylor 6 of the first 7 I think, then once Bernard committed to his punches he was relativly dominant.
I need to watch the fights again, though.
