I have seen it probably 30 times. Insane final round. Manny Stewards tone basically sums up what kind of fight that was. Toney took down the best Cruiser in years in that fight.

I used to see people on this site claim that their favorite light heavyweight/cruiser/heavy etc would stop Toney in one round. I don't think so...dude has a cast iron chin.

This I will contend.

The Toney that landed those accurate punches that night, might have been the most impressive fighter I've seen in a while.

It makes me so angry that Toney has such a good chin, and can just make guys look like they're not doing any damage. That's ridiculous.

Those chopping right hands that were landing on Toney might have been has nasty as the ones that Samuel Peter tried to land on him.

Jirov was so much busier than Toney and almost always hitting him anywhere but his gloves which scores him points. Toney sat on the ropes the entire fight letting Jirov hit him repeatedly and throwing only 1-2 counter punches between Jirov's 10 pawing like punches.

toney has said the only guys to "hurt him" were barkley and sosa. i have never seen toney visibly hurt in a fight besides when he looked like he was shook up from the heavy punch peter landed on his temple.

best way to hurt toney is with a sledgehammer to the gullet. the guy just takes your best and keeps on coming. even though he has been inconsistent throughout his career i'll never stop cheering for him...been a HUGE fan since '90.
