I agree for all the reasons you've said... but I also disagree because belts aside Kessler is really no different from most of the opponents Joe has fought all his career. He still MIGHT fight him in the future. But while I'd like to see it as well, I can understand him milking this opportunity to cash in on HBO.
I guess we will findout if they ever fight!

With that said, Kessler is still more credible than anyone he's fought in years. Joke Calzaghe should jump at the chance to fight Taylor if he's feel he's not ready...

Yeah, it'll certainly be something to get excited about if it happens.

I was checking some Blow stats recently... I hadn't realised how close some of his opponents were to unification bouts. He got a shot at Byron Mitchell JUST after he'd lost the WBA title.

Probably just a ploy by Joe to wind Taylor up. Taylor has been very quiet recently concerning a bout with Calzaghe. Hardly mentioning his name anymore. But his is right. Taylor wont stand a chance against Joe. Hope Taylor is foolish enough to take the bait. I could do with an easy win against the bookies.

I dunno, Taylor has fought in the higher class. I was one of the few that felt he beat Wright by a couple of points, and he beat Hopkins too. You can't fault that. He may not have looked destructive against Ouma, but let's not forget how destructive Ouma can be. I would still favour Calzaghe, although it would only be slight.

this is possible, it looks like they're going in different directions, away from each other. maybe blow figures if he insults taylor's manhood by saying he's not ready, that calzone would destroy him, etc, he'll get taylor so pissed he'll be calling him to make the match. taylor isn't ready for calzaghe, but i'd still love to see them go at it

I wont deny it. You got to give Taylor credit for the tough fights he has taken with Winky and Hopkins.

Thats what I'm thinking. Attempts to insult Taylor, getting him pissed off, hoping he will take the bait. Its gotto be what Joe is up to.

Joe should be looking at big paydays and fighting elite names.

So now he won't fight the 160 lb. champion but he will fight the guy that champion beat twice?

This is silly - if he only wanted to fight top p4p fighters, he wouldn't have dropped his belt to fight a guy who made his name on a reality show...

I'll be interested in seeing who Calzaghe's "worthy replacement" is - the one he actually faces in the ring, not the ones he calls out...

Calzaghe needs to stop ducking Kessler.
Taylor isn't ready but the guy Taylor beat twice is, and that pretty much says it all.

Fight Kessler or **** off Joe

Do people forget that Miranda is a no name who just lost to Arthur Abraham???
