Calzaghe No Longer Sure About Taylor Bout

It appears that WBO super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe is no longer sure about facing middleweight king Jermain Taylor in 2007. The South Wales Echo reports that after Calzaghe witnessed Taylor's title defense against former junior middleweight champion Kassim Ouma, he felt Taylor is not ready for a fighter of his caliber. Joe just doesn't want to ruin Taylor to early in his career. Maybe when JT's made a bigger name for himself by fighting Miranda and if he wins he'll be worthy of Calazaghe.

i think calzaghe is just too good a guy too take this fight. He doesnt wanna ruin taylor. I honestly beleave he feels bad about ruining lacy and is worried about ruining another young fighter with a promising future and i respect hat. I also agree that he should wait a while before fightiinbg taylor. taylor isnt ready at all

Please, people. Joe isn't going to ruin anyone. Taylor is a threat to him and he knows it. His Jab is a thing of beauty and would keep Joe off balance all night long.

Joe should fight Kessler first, tho, and prove he's the man at 168. I'm not convinced he is.

Yeah it's unfair, Taylor isn't ready.

                But Manfredo is.

                    Good one.

If Calzaghe fights Hopkins instead, that's fine by me.
