No No, this raises a good point.
How in the f$%K does he get off claiming Taylor isn't on his level yet, and yet he fought Bika and now Manfredo? If Taylor "isn't on his level" which I'm pretty sure he'd say the same about Manfredo and Bika, why wouldn't he fight him as a tuneup like he did "Saiko Bika". There would be absolutely no drawback because one of his intentions should be to win over some fans in the States. Ricky Hatton openly stated he's going to fight here against the best opposition, and that's the best move. Let's get down to the bottom line....there is more money in fighting in the States against name opponents:
And in Cal's interview he was adamant about money. He claimed he was going to fight where the money was. How in the hell is he going to deny that a fight between he and Taylor WOULDN'T BE the biggest payday of his career?

Anorak, you must see this for what it is: an avoidance. If Calzaghe is not straight up avoiding JT by this, then he is posturing in an effort to get more money or something along those lines.
The only way not fighting Taylor (as he said he would do) is acceptable is if he fights Hopkins, Adamek, Woods, Johnson, Briggs, or Kessler next.Comment

For **** sakes, he's starting to piss me off.. he's talking about wanting to make money and get credibility, Jermain Taylor is the man to beat to get both.. even if he's not on Calzaghe's level, NOBODY should turn that fight down.Comment

I could accept it if he fought Hopkins or Kessler, both would have a meaning but Jermain Taylor is the man to beat to get world wide recognition..Anorak, you must see this for what it is: an avoidance. You see, I think that's the most ridiculous thing I've read from the Calzaghe updates lately. As stated he was pretty harsh about money in that interview these guys did with him. He was pretty much closed to debating anything outside of money, and he said money like fifteen times.
You know what? I think this is Warren's doing. Somehow he's convinced Cal that he shouldn't fight Taylor as Warren also convinced Hatton not to fight Floyd for what would have been his biggest payday of his life.

I just believe that if it was the other way round and Taylor was saying this, people wouldn't be on his nuts as much, that's all. (And remember, I'm not Welsh, so it means **** all to me).Comment

When did he do that??
I've not read all of the news story yet - has the Blow said he doesn't want the fight, or is he just posturing for ****s and giggles? Maybe it sounds worse in black and white.Comment
