its obvious that margarito can be much better than he was last night but after seeing what clottey was able to do to him Im pretty confident IMO that mayweather would UD him with similiar results to baldomir. In fact I think it would be a very similiar fight with a lot of stalking from margarito and mayweather just being to fast handed and way to quick a mover.

Clottey did box Margarito for one round he "ran" from Margarito for one round, but did he throw punchs at Margarito while running, no.

If floyd thought he could beat Margarito he would have fought him for 8 million dollars.

And i aggree that untill Arum is forced to pit these two against each other is only when he'll do so.

the point is that Cotto is a well rounded fighter. He can box, punch, brawl, and has excellent ring generalship. He can cut the ring, as well as fight in reverse. Margarito would look like Abdulaev did against Cotto. It would not be an easy fight for Cotto, but Cotto is too smart and too skilled for an unpolished fighter like Margarito. Margarito is very overrated, and we all know that if Clottey did not injure his hand, Clottey would have been a belt holder last night.

Like what A.S. said, Cotto is far too skilled for Margarito, and Margarito has the body type and style that is not only tailor made for Cotto but will make Cotto look very polished and technically superior.

Cotto is way overrated...that is why he will never fight margarito...cotto has medicore boxing skills...that is why he gets hit alot..and if torres was able to hurt cotto many times with uppercuts almost to the point of knock out..what do you think one of margarito's uppercuts would do?....this is what will happen...margarito ko's cotto in round 4 and cottos nuthuggers will start saying cotto was not really a super welterweight and margarito cannot beat gayweather or something like that...if you believe cooto can beat margarito and cotto says he can beat margarito then there is no reason why the fight shouldn't happen....but will it happen?..nope....because cotto's career would end
