I have seen him fight alot and think he's a great talent, but he lacks intensity often times, which is crazy cuz he's always pumped. I dunno, he just doesnt punch with the fire I'd like to see.

i think he uses his power when he knows is best.. you dont want to be overly intense... like pacman if you think pacquaio is good now weight till he calms down even more and fight with his explosion out of his defensive in spurts...
i always thought clottey was boring but so is winky wright and i think clottey hits harder then wright and is even more techniqual

Margarito's size, chin, workrate, and stamina spell problems for Cotto. Anyone who talks of Tony as if he is of little threat to Cotto clearly is missing the big picture.

you have got to be ****ting me after AM's preformance and Cotto's on Saturday it's crazy to even think AM will trouble cotto.

Margarito is just too powerful and durable for Cotto IMO. He will keep coming like no one Cotto has fought yet. Believe me, brawling with Margarito is a terrible idea because it just takes one decent punch to put you in a state where he will tee off on you. Margarito will have an easier time hurting Cotto with his power than the reverse. IMO the guys who will beat Margarito are slick defensive fighters who can survive the 12 rounds and outbox him. Coming right at Marg is like spending time in the casino; you might get lucky and hit the jackpot but most likely you'll end up broke by the end of the night. Marg's too determined and throws too many hard punches for them all to miss. He'll hurt Cotto eventually and finish him off.

Nah, you have to stand your ground with Margarito. If you back up on him, he gets courage and he can only fight coming forward. I think Cotto would best be served to get in Margarito's chest where he can throw quicker, shorter, harder shots inside and Margarito can't do nothing with his longer arms. Believe me, this fight wouldn't go 8 rounds before he'd leave Margarito breathless. Margarito has nothing for Cotto, he isn't even in the same league as him.

Clottey had him and didn't have the stamina to beat him. Margarito is draining himself to make 147, looks slower, deffense even worse and throws a lotta shots but not with the same power as he used to. Cotto's coming up strong, Cotto by KO.

I am a big cotto fan and I think he could win against tony, I just don;t think it will be by stoppage. cotto is there to be hit on the inside, incidentally that's where margarito hits the loudest. cotto's got one of the best left hooks and tony eats them like popcorn. still tony's got the chin and very strong character. I love the matchup, I just want to see Williams vs Maragarito first.

PS: Guys seem to forget the tough outing Miguel had against Lovemore N'dou, who is a poor version of Clottey.

Im not even hating, I'm being blunt in laying out my assessment. I think this would be a terrible mismatch at 147. Nobody has ever worked Margarito's body yet.
And vice versa Asian, cotto's never been in with somebody like Margarito, forget about Pinto ( no chin, no punch, no strength)

True, but that's where all of that amateur experience comes into play.
