Gomez was not a marqui opponent, no. However, Kermit Cintron was; and of course he has wins over Six-heads and few others down the line.

I agree with you concerning Clottey; and feel Margarito should pull it out...which is part of the reason I went ahead and gave him the #9 slot. But, if I'm wrong and he loses to Clotty....then, no, he doesn't even deserve that much consideration.

In regards to Mayweather...is it not the job of the champion to defend his title?

Defend the title against the best which margarito clearly is'nt, or his mandatories, which margarito is'nt again, margarito is a optional fight, he has the WBO belt, he is not Mayweathers mandatory, and he is not the best either until he beats Clottey and Williams (And I do not think high of clottey I am saying he should get past him as expected to set a fight with paul williams)

Margarito is just as deserving of a title shot, if not more so, as Collazo, Williams, Cotto, Quintanna...well provided how the fight goes this weekend...or Mosely, for that matter who hastn' even fougth at 147 since he lost to Forrest.

Margarito hasn't lost a fight at welterweight in the last four years while defending his WBO belt. What more do you want, an act of Congress?

          2. No, I'm not buying into "Everybody's scared of Margarito" crap; but I'm not buying into "nobody can beat Floyd" bull**** either.

          Pick your poison.
I never said it was "yours."

Cintrion was an untested prospect when Tony beat him. Six Heads was coming off a brutal knockout loss to Ricardo Mayorga. Tony has never faced anyone that one could consider a "marquee" name.

Gatti had 6 losses and was past his best and wasn't even the real Jr. Welterweight champ, Mitchell was coming of a brutal knock out loss to Tszyu when Mayweather fought him, Judah was coming of a loss to unheralded Carlos Baldomir...what's your point?

My point is that Floyd has faced 11 World Champions in his career, soon to be 12. His level of opposition is high, he has fought very good fighers over his career and has been dominant for the most part.
Dont forget that be beat Hernandez, Chaves, Castillo and Corrales.
