Hate the fact that I patted myself on the back.
I gotta stick up for the old fighters to counter the deluded clowns on here that don't know anything about them. That's the real reason for my crusade.
You know something, there have always been two dumb sides of the extreme coin on here. Bitter old men who hate on all modern fighters and young punks who hate on all past fighters. You may be the only one who's ever been ignorant enough to belong to both groups at some point. You can pat yourself on the back for that, go ahead sweety
And no that's not me, I never posted videos of me hitting a speed bag.

I mean how old are you? Seriously. Listen to yourself.
Lol "crusade". It's all that serious to you huh?

Pretty sure you posted videos in the past. I'm not surprised you're denying it now, I would too if I looked like that while trying the "I'm a boxer and you're not" card.
I think Ron Lyle is a better boxer than Deontay Wilder. And has more skill. Tried to explain my reasons why but you keep going on about daddy issues, me boosting old fighters for attention. At this point you think I just do it for attention? Stop taking **** so personal, it's annoying when every one of your responses to me goes back to me patting myself on the back and how angry you are about it lol.
And what old timers am I impressing? Theres hardly anyone on here, most overlook old fighters and make up bull**** with no proof. Like advances in modern conditioning (hasn't been proven in boxing) men are bigger (how, there's always been huge heavyweights) and that fighters like Joe Louis are too small even though 6 ft tall Andy Ruizes are the exception some how.
The only thing I'll admit is I go too far occasionally because the opposition is going too far themselves.Last edited by them_apples; 03-04-2020, 11:29 PM.

I'm sure the Braddock and Lewis fights were works. Carnera was his friend, Owney Madden's fighter. He had the cuffs on.
I don't like when people overrate Baer, but he shouldn't be judged on worked fights.

If one watches Baer he was similar in some respects to Wilder. He moved frenetically and had large shoulders and really relied on that punch. That victory over schmelling showed that Max when he put it together could make some moves.

Tommy Loughran had high praise for a young Baer, after taking him to a UD. He didn't think Baer was just a big lumox.
But Heavyweights have gotten bigger and more skilled. I don't doubt that Baer had the TALENT to succeed in subsequent generations, to include the present, but I'm incredulous that the man who walloped Schmeling could be placed in front of men his size (or bigger) who are also more polished Boxers and still succeed.
I think the point remains that being big means you don't have to fight like Finito Lopez to succeed. In the case of a guy like Lyle that applies, too. He had a natural talent, and studied boxing in earnest. But his size and power compensated for alot. Suddenly, against Wilder - not unlike Schmeling against Baer - he'd be the smaller, less physically equipped man.
Really that's the story of all 70's Heavyweights against the titans of today. Not unlike how men like Quarry, Foster and Patterson failed for lack of size, those Heavyweights would fail for lack of size today.Last edited by Rusty Tromboni; 03-06-2020, 07:17 AM.

Whatever theory it is, it's all pretty pathetic don't you think? No grown man acts like that, seeking approval to such extent. It's time to grow up.
I doubt you will ever reach a point where you can objectively judge what you're seeing without any sort of agenda/insecurity influencing your opinion every time. You need a shrink, not boxingscene.

no impressive individual would ever spend the past 4 days trying to verbally degrade someone online, you dug your own grave BKM and exposed yourself. its easy to do what you are doing lol.
these are the videos I posted. I don't know who that " kid hitting the speedbag" is you are talking about. And not a chance in hell you would show yourself online.
