I mean do you really think across all sports that every sport that people have become more advanced since 60s that's a coincidence i dont
Its really crazy idiots here saying these dudes would do good well why since then it's been no fighter who fought like exactly like them since then who was a mid/high level fighter and this goes for any other sport to from 50s
i find that strange if the people here say they would do good why haven't we seen it since those years thenLast edited by Ascended; 08-24-2022, 01:04 PM.Comment

Louis would do well. He's a smaller HW by modern standards but his conditioning was excellent, no fat on his body. He was one inch shorter than Usyk and Holyfield, and weighed anywhere from 200 to 218. I think he beats AJ, Wilder and Wlad rather easily, as he did Carnera and Buddy Baer. He would struggle against boxers closer to his own size like Holyfield, Usyk, Mercer, Tyson, and some of the larger ones like Lewis and Fury from a style perspective.Comment

No... You look at tape and you can literally list the skills you see. The things fighters do in the ring... Thats the process an intelligent fan uses to judge the quality of a fighter.Comment

Nothing to do with being small their movements were way to outdated they would even be destroyed in gyms using those old styles never would make it out
Which is why we never seen any mid-high level fighter who fought exactly like those dudes since 50s its obvious trainers seen those styles as trash to same as with other sportsYou sound more foolish each time you try to push that crap... Outdated lol...

Well its no group of fighters. But when we look at a great fighter like Liston... Look at the skills that an average opponent Liston faced has. You will see his opposition can throw all shots, moves well in the ring, has counter punching skills, can fight at all ranges, etc. Fighters had skills they are evident. Today most fighters cannot even fight inside, seldom counter punch, cannot even dance in the ring (at heavyweight).
Then look at a great fighter like Liston himself: Great jab, killer instinct, so many skills. I judge by what I see, not any trends that people assume are true: Most sports do evolve, but not all. And in the sports that do evolve there are usually reasons. Most of these reasons are the money spent on the sport. Look at how much money was spent on football when Artie Donovan was playing for the colts and now Larry...
