Today most fighters cannot even fight inside, seldom counter punch, cannot even dance in the ring (at heavyweight).

Then look at a great fighter like Liston himself: Great jab, killer instinct, so many skills. I judge by what I see, not any trends that people assume are true: Most sports do evolve, but not all. And in the sports that do evolve there are usually reasons. Most of these reasons are the money spent on the sport. Look at how much money was spent on football when Artie Donovan was playing for the colts and now Larry...

names a basic slow person who fought like he had a trainer in front of him telling him where to punch next like liston that dude wouldn't make it in 90s with that stuff he had trouble with Leotis who wouldn't make pro in 90s either

        Larry,
here is a prime example... Watch this fight with WhiteHurst. Never heard of him? Well he was not anything special but look at all he does against Liston. This is an average heavyweight contender for that time in a relatively weak division!

Here is a quick list: He can slip, parry, counter punch, fight inside, move/glide, take a good shot, does not go down, is defensively capable... Lets compare that to what an average heavyweight contender today... someone like Dubois is capable of... purely by skills.

How old was Liston when he floored and ended Martin' s career?

i find that strange if the people here say the era topic which guys from 50s would do good why haven't we seen anybody exactly who fought like them since those years then it has been no mid/high level fighter is that a coincidence

I find that odd cause its not even in any other sport where a person who played exactly like they did in 50s was like that in 70s-90s why is that

I mean not in any sport at all we haven't even seen anybody who plays a sports like a 70s athlete is this a coincidence in all sports no coincidence its cause all trainers of all sports of the era before it they learn from it and advance it

So you make a comment about Liston
"liston that dude wouldn't make it in 90s with that stuff he had trouble with Leotis who wouldn't make pro in 90s either"

I refer to the fact that in boxing parlance Liston was an old man then, and you duck my question about how old was he?
Do you seriously expect to earn any credibility with the modus operandi you adopt in debate?
