Owned again, last resort is to lie and lie again. Bottom of page 64, you’re favorite Langford authority mentions the book by name. Unfortunate you now consider him a clown because you disagree with him.

Your fingers have never been so busy on the key board! lol
You’re not helping their or your cause. Today’s woke mob wants to cancel Washington and Lincoln as racists. FDR and LBJ were awful. LBJ another hateful racist. Truman killed 250K innocent Japanese. Lincoln was one of only a few presidents to declare Marshall law. Try not to rush the ****pit in a fit of rage when you read my posts.

      • Did you guys ever think you might have different editions of the book?

Anyway, I vaguely remember Moyle mentioning it, but he certainly didn't mention it as if it was the truth. He has admit on the forum that you guys formerly came from that he doesn't know if Johnson ever went down because he never read a newspaper article that said so, but Johnson alludes to it in "Mes Combats."

The book was ghost written and obviously embellished where it could. I have already posted one witness who was there who makes absolutely no mention of a knockdown. It didn't happen.

Here was his response on that site

"Question to Clay. Did Langford knock down Jack Johnson as the above bio I posted said or not?"

Tough to say for sure one way or the other, on one hand I didn't come across any newspaper accounts of the fight that confirmed Johnson was knocked down by Langford. On the other hand Johnson allludes to being knocked down by Langford in his 1910 book printed in French titled 'Mes Combats'. I also read that Fleischer's father in law, A.D. Phillips, told him that Johnson went down from a slip in Phillips opinion during the fight, but that occured at the same time Langford struck him with a body blow.
A slip obviously wasn't what was being talked about since Langford claims that it was a shot to the head (the punch always has changed...I've seen it mentioned as a hook, an uppercut, a jab...), was to the head, and he claims Johnson was seriously hurt. I also have a quotation from Langford in which he says Johnson has never been down, claiming that he is speaking honestly about Johnson being one of the best fighters he has witnessed. That knockdown did not happen.

When I met my wife and went down to Bizzaro New york lol... (Louisiana being the opposite of NYC lol) there were two things that made me feel a bit more at home: there was a masonic temple... and I know I had seen them everywhere...and there was an abandoned synagogue... that was actually kept up, someone was keeping it up. I grew up in East Harlem and a lot of my dad's people (Dad was ***ish) were ***ish, including his first wife's family... so I was entwined in that culture to a degree... and while you could not get a decent corn beef sandwich in Opelousas Louisiana, or even lafayette Louisiana, it was just nice to see something familiar.

You don't miss the food too much because the food down there is equally tasty! Still cannot get a decent ***ish deli sandwich in San Francisco!
Louisiana has great seafood and restaurants. Had some great gumbo, jambalaya and crawfish down there. I still cant’t find a deli rivaling NYC either. I did find a great pizza and wings place in South Carolina of all places, but they were New Yorkers who migrated down there.

Langford claimed that in their exhibition just after they wen at it hammer and tongs ,but the report states Johnson was careful not to hit Langford on his damaged eye

Do you have the hard cover or paperback? Mine is the paperback. It’s on page 64. Don’t miss your flight on my account, wouldn’t want you to miss your secret squirrel mason’s meeting.

Yep, just read that not too long ago. I think it came up in that same conversation with Clay.
