For you, who won the Hagler vs Leonard fight?

I have watched it a few times, it was a close fight, but Hagler choked under the lights and got starstruck. I could have been a draw but gun to my head I say Leonard got it.

I was/am a HUGE Hagler fan so this is extremely hard to post. Leonard deserved the decision. Damn that was painful.

I had it 114-112 Hagler while watching this via closed circuit TV and haven't changed that since. Leonard ran for much of the fight and wasn't effective except in very short bunches - even then those punches weren't strong or particularly effective. Regardless of which way someone scored it, the 118-110 is a travesty and Jose Juan Guerra must have been paid off.
If there was anything that won the fight for Leonard it was the cavernous ring size. Hagler was ******. He wanted that fight so badly that he agreed to ****** terms. Leonard was smart. He waited until Hagler slowed down (remember that Marvin is two years older than Leonard) after the war with Mugabi and then agreed to the fight on his terms like the massive ring that gave him space to run. I give Sugar Ray a lot of credit for setting up the circumstances so that he had an actual chance. In a smaller ring with a slightly younger Hagler Leonard would have been carried out of it.
Hagler also had a rematch clause with Leonard but then Sugar Ray "retired" for long enough that he didn't have to face Hagler again. Hagler appealed to the commission but they wouldn't enforce the clause so Marvelous retired and walked away.

Hagler did not choke. He was outspend and outboxed. I despised Leonard and wanted Marvin to stop him. However Hagler became an old slow fighter that night and Leonard was in overdrive. Hagler was given a boxing lesson and lost this fight by a couple of rounds.
