Can John Tate really gave Holmes a tough fight and possibly a loss

My friend, you're ignoring the fact that it was nearly impossible to make a unification fight at that time. It took a massive draw like Tyson to do so. You're also ignoring the fact that historians and trainers all rank Holmes as one of the greatest heavyweights ever.

He was never a civil rights leader, but suddenly played the race card after Coetzee fought so many black fighters in S.Africa and the US. Turned down something like $6-8 mil, big money in the day, so Tate took that fight for a bargain price and did what tubby Lar couldn't do, take a beating and roar back for the KO.

Yes, but we can all be objective and not be blinded to the truth when evidence is presented to us. People never seem to want to admit it when they're proven wrong, especially online.

Interesting thing though, when studies have been done in connection with political elections, people who are presented with unquestionable facts which they don’t believe in, become even more certain of their incorrect beliefs.
