imho, dlh consistently fought more top ranked guys. h2h, prime for prime, its not an easy pick for me. one handed dlh is still 1 hand too many for most guys. there was a stretch where he wouldnt do anything but throw the left hook. used the right as a range finder

its is also mho that it was pac who stalled the may fight with his excuses and fears.they were pretty pathetic. i dont know the full details of gbp dealings with team 3g. all i know is 3g will make more money with what gbp is offering than he would with anyone else.

15 mil might seem like peanuts if a guy thinks the pie will be bigger but, as we see, 15 mil is better than no mil. i think if canelo wins they fight in sept. this is the year.
De La Hoya said he wouldn't fight Cotto because his wife is Puerto Rican.

Then he changed his mind and said he would figjt the Margarito-Cotto winner because he thought Cotto was going to win then when Margarito won he said actually no thanks.

Not all catch weights, just the ones people pull for title fights. Middleweight is 160, so if you fight for the title there, you should have to weigh in at 160, not 155.

i stand corrected ! i forgot all about that. it was a lame excuse but not as lame as srl.

i still say dlh had the tougher overall resume.

Were they title fights where he made his opponent agree to weigh in at a lower weight than the title was for, like welterweight, but they had to weigh in at less than 147, for instance? If so, then yes. If they were at different weights but just met in the middle, then no, because that's what catch weights are supposed to be for.

            Yes.

Pacquiao insisted that Cotto defend the welterweight belt at a catch weight of 145 lbs.

He also made Margarito fight for the vacant junior middleweight belt at a catch weight of 150 lbs.

And he demanded a catch weight of 144 lbs when he defended his welterweight belt against Juan Manuel Marquez. (in their third fight.)

Wasn't Oscar a converted southpaw? Because he used his left a bunch.

Let me be perfectly clear here: cross dressing, abusing drugs, in my book are not necessarily deplorable actions, that is most assuredly not what I have a problem with. Consenting adults have the right to play... Some of us play rougher than others.

The way one treats their family, the way one nurtures, and guides young fighters is another matter entirely. How one uses media attention is also another matter. In these matters Oscar, or anyone for that matter, is hardly above reproach. So, while I don't condone celebrity bashing i also don't believe anyone is above decency and goodness to others, and above being called out when manipulating others for their own gain.
What may or may not have transpired within his promotional company is up for debate. It is certainly easy to see he has pushed plenty of young fighters to do well and currently is promoting the young Alvarez to exceptional financial heights.
