Out of all the cash grabs I would have paid to see that one.
Speaking of Foreman, weren't there also talks of a Foreman fight with Tyson around that time too? I think I remember Foreman mentioning wanting to fight Tyson in some of his post fight interviews.

How would that have gone? I'm thinking maybe Tyson by decision if he can't stop Foreman or maybe by then didn't have the work rate so maybe Foreman gets the decision.

Cash grab? They are so common anymore, who cares about a mere cash grab?

There has to be an attempt to steal legacy along with it, which there often is. Fighters want to believe that simply having a name on their roster will do big things for their legacies, regardless of where the famous opponent is on his particular downward curve.

      Calzaghe/Jones and

      Calzaghe/ Ho'kins

Were both typical money grabs. We can only guffaw that Calzaghe thinks he shined his legacy up as well.

Then Leonard/Hagler would apply in that case as well, since Leonard has said he waited until he knew Hagler was way past it to fight him and then promptly retired, denying Hagler a rematch.

There was a big legacy grab there too. I believe for Leonard the legacy grab was more important than the money. It sure worked for him. The Hagler (victory?) is one of the ***els in his crown. That one may be only imitation glass. That (victory?) is the same kind he would have acheived over Duran in New Orleans if Duran had not quit. Not compelling victories, just like some of MW's.

In recent memory I would say pretty much all of Cotto's wins after the Pacquiao fight. Mayorga, Margarito, and Martinez in particular.

I am so glad hypodermic Dave got rid of himself in humiliating fashion. He is not likely to be taken seriously again, even by the starving British.
