here is Ali's ex wife talking about what a monster and rascist that bad man was... See Hitman this is a source who LIVED with ALI talking about his behavoir....it might be considered proof. Lets see how many times she mentions his wife beating ways...well now....maybe she was in a good mood because she sure seems to think Ali was a decent husband! and this beaten woman even takes credit for some of Ali' s theatrics, she must really be scared now!!

The only hit I got when I googled Ali wife beater was a reference to Floyd and his behavoir, thats the sad truth of it.

No shizzle....I was being sarcastic. Ali was not a woman beater, there is nothng in his profile to suggest this behavoir. he was in fact a charmer and even women that he exasperated seemed to characterize him the way his ex did....Another clue? look at his daughter. She most definitely does not fit the profile of the daughter of a wife beater.

And you are not an idiot because you can admit a mistake....Its just that many times people run with rumors and I feel like Ali paid a lot for his choices....Whether one agrees or not.

I don't particularly like the idea that he followed the nation of islam, and there are records of him sprouting off some of their rascist rhetoric...But think about it this way, if a man like malcolm X, who was self taught, very intelligent, and who became genuinely concerned for all people from his original position as a black activist, could fall into the trap of following E Muhhamed, then a young brash guy like Ali is susceptable. I cant speak for ali but I would be very suprised if he did not regret his allegiance to these guys...he was scared of them and thats a fairly well established fact...Farikan was a very dangerous man back then.

Itomickly, having to deal with this group probably allowed Ali to view another very dangerous man as a joke....that would be Don King. While King was able to intimidate quite a few guys, ali managed to see through him fairly quickly.

It may not be incorrect he may have been on dietertic which caused him to look good as far as weight but we're strength sapping it is a fight that should have never taken place.

Ali was taking diuretics to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time for the Holmes fight. According to members of his team it nearly killed him.

Ali went from around 260 to 217 during his training camp.

Could be...at that time in history drugs of the recreational sort were often used casually. baseball players used to take uppers, chew tobacco continually, and Bill Lee the famous red sox pitcher allegedly dropped acid during a game. I am quite sure boxers werent above popping a pill or two or three.

NSB can be a real rumor mill because many do not substantiate information they get. The bottom line is that many times there are complexities with these things...perfect example would be Gatti:

People love the guy and obviously he had a very disfunctional relationship with his wife...did she murder him? did he abuse her? who knows! its just a big mess.

ironickly Floyd seems to be an easy mark. He really is on record as being quite a control freak and physically assaulting a number of woman that he wanted to control....but not all situations are that black and white and even with Floyd, who knows the details.
