i am very interested to hear your thoughts on Lewis two KO defeats against McCall & Rahman.

And both he avenged in rematches by dominant stoppages.
Along with Gene Tunney and the guy in your avatar, Lewis is one of only three world heavyweight champions in history to have retired beating every man he ever faced.

Mike Tyson got KTFO 4 times and quit in fights 4 times as well. He never avenged any of his 6 total stoppage defeats. Perhaps we can talk more about that.

Johanssen and Bowe also hold wins over every opponent they faced.

i asked you your thoughts on Lewis two defeats... not his revenge victories. You keep trying to make comparisons of Lewis with Tyson?.. Tyson lost 3 of his final career fights by KO with it being well documented that he was at that time, addicted to prescription anti-depressants, alcohol, ******* & cannabis. Mike Tyson was also KOd in Tokyo 1990 by James "Buster"Douglas losing his world title in 10rds... Would Lennox Lewis have beaten that version of Buster Douglas?

lewis's resume really does get overrated on here and its not much better than tyson's. his 2 biggest wins were holyfield and tyson and they were both well past it at that point. head 2 head he does well tho with all the past greats if hes focused and in his best shape. thats where is high ranking comes from imo

I'll give my opinion on it. I always thought both OF LEWIS'S kayo losses were more to lennox not respecting his opponent and being careless than to a chin or ability problem. he pretty much proved that point in the rematches. I think a prime lennox under manny steward would have over powered any version of buster douglass and stopped him within the distance

Lewis also beat Vitali when Lewis was well past it. The big difference between the two is that Lewis actually avenged his losses. Tyson never avenged losses to Holyfield or Buster Douglas.

yea,,,,in retrospect the vitali win does look much better now thats why I consider lewis's resume better. I just dont think its worlds better than tyson's like many seem to think. both guys had some very good wins but no greats in there primes

Lewis was KO'd in his prime, which makes a big difference. Tyson was a drug addict, as is public knowledge. No one left him on his back in his prime.

Either might win a prime tussle. What are they fighting for, number 10 or 11 on the all time heavy list?

with all due respect beez, i feel that is rubbish claiming Lewis never respected McCall & Rahman and it was not a chin problem. Both McCall & Rahman was two mediocre journeymen, who never before or after KOing Lewis did they ever replicate such a KO performance again. it all points to Lewis having very weak whiskers, which is why he was kept away from so many fighters who was "At the Top of their Game"... i have always asked the question to other boxing fans, "Who did Lewis ever fight who was at the top of their Game".. and the answer i always get is Michael Grant ... Who did Mike Tyson fight who was "At the top of their Game"..

                      Tony Tucker 34-0
                      Tyrell Biggs 15-0
                      Frank Bruno 32-2 (32)
                      Michael Spinks 31-0
                      Carl Williams 22-2
                      Alex Stewart 26-1
                      Razor Ruddock 25-1

Lennox Lewis was vastly overrated and avoided every top fighter throughout the 1990s.. To claim Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Rid**** Bowe avoided Lewis is rubbish..its like claiming Wlad Klitschko is avoiding Tyson Fury and that Fury will only fight Wlad if he gets a 50/50 shake.
