    Nice one.

I'm glad to say I'm not the only one who enjoys watching the 80s alphabet champions and contenders. The era is unfairly dismissed due to the inconsistency of the fighters.

I've got a feeling that best versions of Witherspoon, Tucker, Thomas, Spinks or Buster Douglas would cause problems for heavyweights of any era.

i agree Sugar, i have all their fights and like yourself i enjoy watching them. Spinks, Witherspoon, Tubbs, Douglas, Page, Tucker, Thomas were all well schooled fighters. Who knew how to handle themselves in the ring. They are classed as "The Lost Generation" But their fights at championship level are as good as any in history. i would fancy all of them to prove the toughest fights of Klitschko and Lewis career's.

Ive revisited Tysons prime yet again recently.

Its incredible that every few years i watch a bunch of his fights and am still so impressed by what he did.
And his opponents look great compared to todays super heavyweights. Tucker and Pinklon Thomas had great boxing fundamentals.
Tysons brutality against Biggs was almost disturbing.

But once they heard Tyson was addicted to prescription Anti-Depressants, Alcohol, ******* & Cannabis in the years 2002-2004 they grew a pair
Correct indeed. I knew yo would come around, us Tyson haters are a persuasive lot.

Its true....If King had not ruined terrible Tim he would have been a real force and many of the mentioned guys were seasoned with skills. I can't imagine a 90's "been around" like Aeriolla being competive against the average guy hanging around the division those days.

I think Tyson's resume is very much on par with Wladimir's for example. And people are calling him a top 10 ATG Heavyweight.

Tyson is a real good fighter but during his peak, a lot of his opponents were not THAT good unlike during Ali's peak, wherein he fought a lot of opponents well worth fighting.

Tyrell Biggs - undefeated when Tyson beat him, Had lost 3 of his last 7 by KO and was hard into drugs when Lewis beat him.

Tony Tucker - undefeated world champ 34-0 when losing to Tyson. Shell of himself and ravaged by drug abuse when losing to Lewis.

Frank Bruno - Out-Jabbed Lewis and beat Lewis at every aspect of the game, before getting tagged in 7rd. Beat the journeyman for world title who had poleaxed Lewis in less than 2rds. lost title to Tyson in 3rds.

Razor Ruddock - "Damaged Goods" after two brutal beatings from Tyson. suffered broken cheek-bone and eye-socket.. Never threw a single punch in pathetic fight with Lewis.

Evander Holyfield - Lewis unfortunate not to get decision in first fight. Holyfield "ROBBED" of world titles in rematch after clearly winning 7-4-1 rds.

Frans Botha - Drug addict, who Lewis chose to fight so as to avoid his No1 contender John Ruiz. Lewis then stripped of WBA title.

Andrew Golota - Steroid abuser, who took "panic attack" in dressing room. was sedated by doctor 30 minutes before opening bell "Pathetic"

Sorry to pizz on your chips
Lewis fought prime Golota who was coming off the 2 destructions of Bowe. Lewis annihilates him in 90 seconds.

Tyson fights the mentally shot Golota who came out of retirement. After getting destroyed by Lewis, Golota quit against Michael Grant(who Lewis also destroyed in seconds). Golota's left shoulder was ruined in a car accident in 1999 so Tyson basically was fighting a cripple who could barely throw a proper jab.

A fat Frans Botha dominates and frustrates Tyson for 5 rounds until Tyson lands the hail mary right hand.

Lewis fought Botha who was in much better shape. He destroys him in seconds.

John Ruiz? You mean that guy that got destroyed by David Tua(who Lewis dominated)?

Ruddock takes Tyson the distance, has his moments here and there.
                    Lewis destroys Ruddock in seconds.

Evander Holyfield knocks Tyson the hell out.

Lewis puts on a masterclass twice against Holyfield, in essence beating him 2x but gets robbed the first time. Holyfield later said Lewis was the toughest opponent he ever fought.

Lewis fought Tyson a few years later.
                    Lewis destroys Tyson.

As a final epilogue Lewis at his weakest, fattest and shottest destroys Vitali Klitschko by TKO6 who happened to be the best HW throughout the next decade.

                    Lewis>>>Tyson

Maybe in the Ukrainian top 10 ATG list.
