One punch did bust his nose. It only takes one punch do bloody someone's nose.

The notion that his nose was bloody therefore he took consistent punches is a ridiculous one.

How many clean punches do you count in those clips? You can take most fights and get clips like that this is a fight, you're going to get punched.

You can get clips from the Hatton fight of landing punches like that, Judah, Canelo, basically any fight other than a few.

Floyd won every round, he dominated the fight, yeah he got hit here and there, probably to do with the rust. But no way was he hit consistently through out the fight.

"Thoroughly defeated" What is this a playground?

That other guys posts wasn't wrong in that he said either, by the way.

And I have heard floyd talk about his "hardest fight" not toughest opponent.. He has always said augustus... He is probably just blowing smoke, but August did have as much success vs floyd as anyone in the lower weights besides castillo..

I think it's totally inaccurate to say he just landed one big shot that busted up floyd..
Shane and Corley landed just one big shot..
Augustus had a lot more success than them...
I said one shot bloodied his nose.

Corley had more success in Round 4 than any round Augustus had.

Corley landed cleaner punches than Augustus.

I guess he landed consistent on him aswell.

Landing consistently is what Tiberi did to Toney, Tiberi arguably won that fight, Castillo landed consistently on Mayweather, he arguably won that fight.

      Augustus lost every round.

those were just the punches i chose, not all the punches, i was looking more for the combos and by round 6 floyd wasn't just getting his consistently, but constantly, the guy was terribly fatigued and getting hit all the while, it's no wonder he considers it his toughest fight, calling him a liar in this occassion is just petty and an immature attempt in adding leverage to your opinion

and winning rounds doesn't have anything to do with the argument, augustus is obviously not much of a puncher, im sure many of the guys that give some of those rd's to herrera would gasp at the notion at not giving him the 6th, but power matters to me, and if he hit a little harder he'd have won that round because for the most part he avoided and rolled alot of floyds shots(in that round) while landing alot of clean shots himself, all through-out the rd

but to go out with a ****

                Joe Gans
Jack Johnson once said he learned his style from watching Gans fight.

Nowhere to be found because he had decent defense at best.

Duran's defence was much better than JCC.

Agreed. Chavez doesn't belong in a conversation about good defense.

For me the guys listed below were as technically defensively sound as you can get. Although most of these guys listed have their major flaws such as lack of dedication or lazy performances their defense were nonetheless extraordinary. Outside of Whitaker, Pep, Locche, and Mayweather which boxer would you say had the best defense and who was more technically skilled and gifted?

                      James Toney
                      Bernard Hopkins
                      Wilfred Benitez
                      Miguel Canto
                      Miguel Lora
                      Hilario Zapata
                      Sumbu Kalambay
                      George Benton
                      Marlon Starling
                      Guillermo Rigondeaux
That would have to be Charley Burley, one of the best fighters ever, PERIOD.
