Tyson needed a 1st rd ko to get his hype back.. Especially since he was brutalized by Lennox... Also this was a free preview weekend for showtime so the audience was much bigger than usual for showtime and they needed mike to look good... Cliff I believe was a former sparring partner, and in my eyes took a dive to make mike look good..

Someone should upload the fight and judge for themselves... IMO it was a blatant dive
    yea he took a dive

Thanks for the upload,, honestly after watching it again, mike does catch him pretty good, I just never liked how Clifford takes out his mouthpiece so casually for a guy that was knocked out.. Maybe not a dive but a total quit job..

I don't think it was rigged but Etienne clearly quit and played more hurt than he was. his eyes were clear and he seems to be talking to Tyson straight away instead of trying to regain his senses

Honestly I simply think that Mike got him good!

And as I said earlier, I think EVERY version of Mike was really dangerous.

I believe he even said as much in the McBride post fight interview.

I miss Tyson, even his lesser fights are entertaining in a freak show way...
This was a typical 90s heavyweight fight, something bizarre happening..

Orlin def looked to get out of this one, maybe he did blow out his knee, but seemed to walk fine after getting up..
And mike's punch didn't seem that violent, just your standard in a clinch clubbing right hand with not much leverage on it

When hit by Tyson it took the fight out of these guys. And remember Mike kept pressing fowards, so there was really nowhere to hide a while. It is human nature when pressed, given a way out, intellectually understanding the alternative (to be hurt)....well Etienne, Norris these guys just didn't want to be pressed and KO'ed! I never boxed but I can certainly say, figting martial arts, epecially when Sensei would kick us around, you really really didn't want to be there and one had a natural inclination to try to avoid being there at all costs!

yea,,,,orlin seemed to quit before the inevitable was to happen. I don't think any of mike's later fights were rigged but guys just gave up and didn't wanna continue when hurt by mike.. I think Tyson will go down as the most intimidating fighter in history with his combination of speed and power. I so miss watching that guy fight. there will never be another mike Tyson. his ferocity was in a class of its own. the amazing thing is he wasn't a big heavyweight by any means. he was 5'10 218ish lbs at his best. amazing lb4lb fighter
