Ali did very little actually until Foreman slowed and Ali then and only then got off the ropes at about rnd 7 i believe...he won most of the rounds by foreman missing 80% of his shots and very few connecting solidly other than some that reached Alis body but mostly his arms that blocked the majority.The whole way is a myth...the fight actually strarts at rnd 7 when Ali sees Foreman barely being able to stand,he even falls over Ali when he misses a punch and without getting hit almost goes thru the ropes.

I hadn't previously realized how bat-sheet crazy this poster is. I have to just bow out. I was thinking this was like a discussion. Anybody who doesn't see Ali's absolute brilliance is a waste of time to talk to. I only said Marciano in my opinion happens to be one of those few guys who could give Ali (any version of Ali, 60's or 70's) real problems and likely win the fight.

And for chrissake re-watch the Ali/Foreman fight. Ali kicked his ass the whole way.

Ali was good in some ways but technically a pretty poor boxer, just among the first to combine mobility and handspeed with a greater range than most of his other opponents. He also outweighed most of his opponents and out-talled nearly all of them too.

Neither he or Marciano would be really competitive in the 90's, 00's or 10's or most of the 80's..

It is unimaginable what Mike Tyson would have done to either of these guys!

You will find it difficult to find anything from Ali that could be described as "brilliant", and especially not in the Foreman fight!

I would call his career "a selection of some of the bummiest opponents ever to lace up the gloves" and I would also call him "the most manufactured fighter of all time"..

These are accurate descriptions of the guy in reality.

You have subscribed to the mythology and and such you can safely be handwaved in the future and dismissed as one of the imbeciles..

I claimed he didnt do anything till he got of the ropes which i said was the 7th ,wow are you really this dumb?You posted a fight in which Ali stays on the ropes the entire fight basically which is not doing anything but eating some shots and countering some he moved around the ring one rnd out of the fight but it doesnt show because it only showed the selective punches like all Ali clips do though theres not much to show by either Foreman only lands 5 shots in the first rnd alone you wouldn't know that bc you dont really watch full fights.....,this is of fact its on video that you posted you dope showing Ali on the ropes getting hit and being forced against them,it shows Ali did basically nothing but tire Foreman out up until the end ,only Corso will make up b.s wiith you since hes a simpleton as well....it helps to watch the entire fight you live on clips which is why you are always wrong..
