He would've out-finessed them so badly that a new worldwide law would have been installed, and would ban anyone from going into a ring with Roman without a whip and sledge to their disposal.

The never-ending nightmare are finally about to reach its end, and we are standing on the threshold of entering a new era. An era where it gradually will be the new standard and universally accepted to rate him above the "Three Amigos".

      Yo, Gilberto! I did it!

Seriously? barrera and Morales are way above McCallum? Bull****.

            I had the same thoughts...

IMO mccallum is a level above both those guys.. He is one of the best fighters I ever saw.. I'm a huge fan of all three but mccallum is clearly better than Barrera and morales... To me mccallum is very underrated and forgotten about.. He fought in the shadows of mike Tyson, hearns, Leonard, Chavez, etc....

                Froch and Johnson above Calzaghe???

                Lewis below Toney? Really? LOL

                MAB and Morales below McCullum?

I know lists are often subjective and there is variation between people but this just looks horrible.

I'll give it a go so I'm not just talking out my arse and am actually making an effort:

                1. Chavez Sr.
                2. Hopkins
                3. Pacquiao
                4. Whitaker
                5. Lewis
                6. Holyfield
                7. Oscar DLH
                8. Mayweather
                9. Barrera
                10. Trinidad
                11. Tyson
                12. Jones Jr.
                13. Morales
                14. Toney
                15. Leonard
                16. Hagler
                17. Calzaghe
                18. Eubank
                19. Hill
                20. McCallum
                21. Spinks
                22. Wlad
                23. Mosley
                24. Froch
                25. Naz

It's pretty hazy post Eubank, for me, Hill/Mcc/Spinks/Wlad could all change places as good Mosley and Froch.

Camacho and Naz could swap around too, with HC sneaking into the top 25.

The top is pretty much a lock for me, although I can see people having a different order but those are the names that define the last 30 years of boxing.
That is actually a very good list, I'm not sure I'd agree with all the rankings myself, considering the great Sugar Ray Leonard won multiple titles in multiple weights between 84-90, including an almost virtuoso performance against the inimitable Marvin Hagler.

I have always held the belief that a certain James Toney should be ranked higher in lists of this type, his career in the early 90s was second to none and the highly skilled fighter also had an incredible ring intelligence and real KO power.

McCallum's definitely ahead of those two for me aswell.

Absolutely, he was. Everyone that has commented on it besides you thinks McCallum is better than Barrera and Morales so it's not a landslide like you think it is. I do know that McCallum has a great resume, and better than Barrera's and Morales'. McCallum beat Jackson, Minchillo, McCrory, Curry, Watson, Graham, Collins, Kalambay, Harding, etc. Then there are the Toney fights when he was past his prime and still took Toney to the limit. He actually beat Toney the second time in my book. The guy has a stellar resume. He was one of the very best of his era, but Duran, Hearns, and Hagler didn't want it.

Skill wise he is leagues better than Morales and Barrera.

Mccallum has great wins over Curry, Jackson, Braxton (not that great), Mccory, Draw with Toney, Harding, Sulumabay rematch (Sulumabay was past prime but still decent)

Went thru jr mid, middle, and Light Heavy

From the early 80s to mid to late 90s Mccallum fought at the world level....

Morales and Barrera are excellent fighters, but i think Mccallum was a better caliber of fighter... H2H I think he stops barrera in the mid rounds similar to junior jones, and i dont think Morales deals well with the body shots and loses a close competitive decision to Mccallum....

All great fighters but Mccallum a level above them
